am interested in lifting my eyebrows and interested in a more horizontal masculine eyebrow shape outcome . would this direct brow lift procedure reduce the “angry brow” expression ? what i should tell my plastic surgeon so i do not get the quizzical “Spock” look?
Answer: Non-Surgical Chemical Brow Lift for Eyelid Rejuvenation -- add Ultherapy, Thread Lifting, RF Skin Tightening, Laser Treatments As we age, our eyelids naturally sag and droop. A combination approach would be best to see visible improvement. In terms of non-surgical treatment options, I would recommend a Chemical Brow Lift (using Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, or Jeuveau) and filler injections to rejuvenate the temples, eyebrow, eyelid, eye troughs, upper eye hollows, and forehead. I typically combine this with Ultherapy and thread lifting to lift the brow; RF and skin tightening laser treatments to stimulate collagen production and rejuvenate the skin; and laser or superficial RF devices for improvements in texture, color, and any crepey skin around the eyes as needed. In some cases, surgery is the best solution to achieve the desired results. See an expert for a formal consultation. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Brow lift: what you should know Thank you for your question and photo. Since a direct brow lift also requires tissue removal, it is generally reserved for rare cases in which the brow has fallen to the point of inhibiting a person’s vision. An endoscopic brow lift can reduce the appearance of the furrow lines above the nose that often cause an angry-looking expression. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon who can assess your concerns and suggest the best treatment option to help you achieve your aesthetic goals.

Answer: Eyebrow Lift Hi there! Brow lifts in males can be challenging. A direct brow lift can be an option which involves an incision directly at the eyebrow. Possible asymmetry and hair loss should be discussed. A mid-forehead lift goes directly at a deep wrinkly but does leave scarring and can be difficult to create exact symmetry. If your hair remains short, an endoscopic lift may not be ideal due to scarring. But, endoscopic lifting can create excellent results while avoiding the "Spock" look. Creating the horizontal, masculine look has much to do with the direction and amount of pull on the brow. If you haven't tried neuromodulators, such as Botox or Dysport, that may be an option to see how the position of the brow changes. Hope that helps.

Answer: Direct brow lift Thank you for your question. All brow lifts will reduce the "angry" or "stern" appearance. The direct lift places an incision at the brow, and hides within the hair. As long as the lift is equal across, the tail won't be lifted more to give a Spock impression. All the best. -Dr. P

Answer: Direct brow lift Considering that you have very thick brows, you may be a candidate for direct brow lift. Top part of the eyebrow hair is shaved and skin of the brow is removed sufficiently to achieve desired position. Small amount of corrugator muscles, which pool eyebrows down, can also be removed. Scar is barely visible since hair grows through and hides the scar. Other option is endoscopic brow lift, where incisions are placed in the hair. In person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon, with expertise in these procedures, is recommended. Good luck.
