I just had surgery for lentigo maligna melanoma in situ on the nasal tip. The skin graft is almost the size of a dime. My doctor told me to let it heal uncovered, and to not put anything on it. I was told to put Neosporin or petroleum jelly on it, covered carefully with a bandaid, if I needed while in public. Does this sound like good advice? What keeps the graft from getting infected or getting too dry, especially since I take the last dose of cephalexin tonight???
