Is it safe to take an hour-long bumpy taxi ride to the plastic surgeon right after Mohs on my forehead?

I was diagnosed with nodular BCC in the middle of my forehead. I have an appointment with a Mohs surgeon and a plastic surgeon to do the closure. Their offices are on different sides of town. I am worried about taking a jerky, bumpy taxi trip in heavy big city traffic with a fresh open wound on my forehead. Can this lead to more problems, excess bleeding, more bruising?

Hello!Thank you for your question. More than likely, your Mohs surgeon will apply a large pressure dressing to your surgical site that should be sufficient to minimize bleeding/bruising while you are making your way to the plastic surgeon for repair. The forehead is an area that can result in bruising that can settle under your eyes, but the risk shouldn't be any higher due to riding in a car.
