I want to go snow skiing 7-8 weeks post surgery, is it possible to ski and put the ski goggles on? My procedure will include breaking the nose to put it in place.

Yes, it is acceptable to go snow skiing 7 weeks after a rhinoplasty procedure. Be cognizant of the fact that the tip of the nose may still be numb, and that you're in a cold environment, so do not get frostbitten. Ski  Goggles will have no bearing on the nose.

There likely won't be any problems with skiing a couple months after rhinoplasty.  Ask your surgeon about the goggles.  I recently bought a  helmet with a visor rather than goggles.  This may work better.  I saw a bunch of them in Europe but not many here in Colorado yet though.

This is a question best answered by your plastic surgeon, however, I suspect he/she will tell you the following:-Yes, you can wear goggles as required for skiing-The act of skiing is fine, however caution should be taken if the tip of your nose is still numb since frost bite may be possible.  Also, a tumble taken during skiing may result in some injury to the nose if the impact is hard enough.All the best,Dr. Remus Repta
