Microneedling with PRP safe for people with rosacea? Is vitamin C added to the skin during the procedure?

mainly the red / flushing type. im more concerned with getting rid of the sun damage and acne scars so some redness if triggered is ok for a while to me. or is it part of the aftercare in the following weeks ? is it too irritating to add to the skin during treatment or at least immediately after on the day to stimulate collagen ?

Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in.

Hello,Thank you for your question. MicroNeedling would help improve the scaring as well as thicken the epidermis of the skin ending in more resilient skin. This is help in overall anti aging properties by plumping the skin, smoothing texture, improving pores and improving the appearance of the scars. Here we apply a Vitamin C immediately after the needling that will initially sting, however, this will calm down within a few minutes. This will ensure the active ingredients from the Vitamin C to penetrate to the dermis in the fifteen minute the holes are opened. It's safe enough for most skin types, including those with rosacea. To specifically target your rosacea would require a combinational approach. Do you experience just overall flushing, or bumps as well? Sciton's BBL Photo Facial does have an application for our rosacea prone patients, keep in mind, rosacea is a maintenance treatment along with proper home care products. BBL will also target your concerns of sun damage over a series of treatments.

Microneedling is safe on patients with rosacea, but I recommend a combination approach to get the most improvement. Rosacea needs a combination approach to get the most improvement. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. For rosacea, I like a combination approach, using lasers (ProYellow, Pulsed Dye/Vbeam, Excel V), peels and botox to the cheeks. This makes dramatic changes in color and symptoms. See an expert. Yes, this is safe for patients with rosacea, especially with the added PRP.  Many of our patients find their rosacea improves with the combo of the two.  A vitamin C serum may be too irritating immediately post-treatment, but in the days following it would be fine.  More often, the microneedling is combined with Hyaluronic Acid for optimal hydration while the skin is healing/building collagen.
