Should I be worried? I received 450cc(R) and 475cc(L) silicone gel implants (the new gummy bear ones) with a lift. I'm 5'4 and 145lbs. Previously wore a 34C bra. I believe they aren't too big for my frame, and im thrilled with the rough look in regards to size, but I'm worried about them settling and if any displacement has occurred.. I know swelling is normal, but I wanted to ask for honest opinions anyways. These photos were taken about 4 days post op. (5 including surgery day)

It typically takes 3 - 6 months for the swelling to subside and and implants to settle into proper position. Please discuss your concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon. Also, make sure you follow all of your plastic surgeons post-operative instructions regarding level of physical activity and use of a support bra. Hope this helps and good luck with your recovery.

Answer: Implant position post surgical Thank you for your question. At just 5 days post surgical, from a breast lift and an augmentation , I would want to see exactly the shape and height you currently have. I often tell my patients “they will look like torpedos” and “ feel like their too high” for the first few weeks. You can count on the skin stretching and the implants settling into a lower more natural position, but this takes time. Usually , 6-8weeks and the results are truly appreciable. Answer: Implants high You are very, very early in the postop course. It is very common for the implants to be high, especially with the support bra. The implants will "drop" over time. If still concerned address with your plastic surgeon in person at your next visit.

Answer: Are my implants sitting too high up? You are very early in recovery and wearing a surgical bra both of which make the implants look higher than they will once you have recovered from surgery. Over the next 8-12 weeks the implant should drop into place and look more natural.
