I am hoping a doctor can perform an FUE using body hair. Do most surgeons extract the body hair using ARTAS or NEOGRAFT, or do they rely on their own extraction instruments?

Answer: Scarring from FUE Harvesting from FUE requires technical excellence and therefore the ARTAS is often the best choice. For patients with scarring already, patients often can benefit from trichoscopy to evaluate the amount of hairs and quality of hairs available as well as direct visualization by an experienced hair surgeon.

I don't see a picture associated with your question, so it's not really possible to comment on your scalp. Body hair transplants can be done, but are performed by a minority of hair transplant surgeons. The ARTAS system is not suitable for body hair transplants, but the NeoGraft or other FUE instrument may be more suitable.
