I look angry after Botox. Already had one tweak to fix but it wasn't enough. Should I get more Botox to fix it?

It can take 1-2 weeks for final results with Botox. If you're unhappy with your results, Venus legacy and thermage can soften results. Keep in mind, Botox results last 3-4 months in new areas of treatment. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

 Botox is a wonderful drug to make you look refreshed and give you an upper facelift. My reason to use Botox is not just about getting rid of wrinkles but giving a refreshed and relaxed look. If you have not gotten the improvement that you wish to, then perhaps next time you try a different plastic surgeon. Botox is not just about the drug it is who injects it !

is a purified protein used to address wrinkles associated with facial
expression. It can be used to address vertical lines seen between the brows when one frowns which make people look angry. It is difficult to make an assessment without photographs. However often times if the desired result is not achieved additional units may be added. Please consult with a doctor for specific recommendations. Good luck!

It takes 2 weeks to get the full effect. Without a picture it is difficult to advise you. If you are still unhappy after 2 weeks, go see another injector. Best Wishes, Maurice Vick MD

I would encourage you to wait until 2 weeks after your last injection before doing anything else. If you still aren't happy, you may want to see another board certified plastic surgeon for a second opinion. Best of luck.

The best advice is to discuss this issue with your cosmetic dermatologist. What can sometimes happen is with heavy dosing to the glabella (frown lines), there is an effect of making the inner brow look heavy.  This will wear with time.  Be well-

I would definitely wait two weeks to see the full effect of the treatments.  Without waiting to see the  full effect you may have too much Botox and have a poor outcome.  Please consult an expert in Botox for the best cosmetic results.  Best, Dr. Green

Thank you for your question.  I'm sorry to hear that you aren't pleased with the results of your Botox treatment.  It's difficult to make exact recommendations without assessing you in-person, or reviewing your photos.  That said, often times when patients feel they look more 'angry' after Botox injections, it is because of lowering of the central brow (also known as medial brow ptosis).  This occurs when Botox in the glabella is placed improperly into the lower part of the frontalis muscle - the frontalis muscle is responsible for raising the eyebrows, and when it is paralyzed with Botox, this can result in depressed or droopy brow.  Adding more Botox to the outer brows will actually exacerbate the problem, as it will lift the outer brow and make the central brow look even lower.  Placing a small amount of filler in the medial eyebrows can sometimes lift brow position by a few millimeters.  I would recommend seeing an experienced cosmetic dermatologist or a different plastic surgeon for future treatments.  Best of luck!

It does take 5-7 days for it to kick in. I would have to see waht you look like to determine what might be possible with further injections.

This can happen when the botox diffuses to the muscle that pulls up the brows. This causes the brows to drop giving the appearance of being angry.  Sometimes relaxing the muscle that pulls down the outer part of the brow will help to soften this. The botox will wear off after 3-4 months. I would suggest you wait for it to wear off. Discuss your concerns with your injector. Changing the placement of the botox at your next dosing should correct the problem.
