I am 5'4 and 115 pounds. Current bra size small C. More so, will 460cc be too big for my body size? I want big full breasts, but I don't want to be disproportioned. I was not told my BWD.
Answer: Which Mentor Implant ? It is very difficult to determine the exact size and shape #MentorSaline implant you will require to best match your ideal breast image without an examination by a board certified plastic surgeon. Not just any board certified plastic surgeon, but one with many years of frequently performing breast augmentation surgery including different approaches, techniques and implant choices. This is because several measurements not to mention your breast characteristics are needed to determine the optimal implant size to obtain your goals. Without knowing these dimensions it would be difficult to make this determination. For example, the existing base width of your breast will determine, in many cases, the maximal volume per implant profile that you can accommodate. To illustrate; a 100 cc difference may make a significant difference with a narrow base width breast, but much less of a difference if you have a wide chest wall and wide breast “foot print”. Therefore, just because your friend may have a great result with let’s say a 350 cc implant to make her go from a “A” cup to a “C” cup size does not mean that you will have the same result with the same size implant. . Further simply placing implants in a bra to determine the size best for you is not always accurate as the bra often distorts the size, is dependent on the pressure the bra places plus the implant is outside your breast and not under it among other variables. Computer software morphing programs that automatically determine the best implant size can be helpful in some but not all cases (e.g. doesn’t work well in my experience with existing implants, sagging or asymmetric breasts). Using “want to be” photos however are useful if simply provided to the surgeon as I will further explain in a bit.By the way, if you are considering saline implants, you should probably consider the IDEAL implant which is now available and FDA approved (see link)#BestMentorImplantSize#BestMentorImplantShape

Answer: High profile versus moderate plus implants Thanks for your posting. In order to select implants, BWD and other breast characteristics like skin tone and tissue thickness are all considered, so a proper evaluation is required. If you're uncertain about your implant profile it would be best to discuss this with your surgery and perhaps even have another appointment.

Answer: HP or MOD + breast augmentation. Hello beautyq90. Thanks for your question and photos. Here are my rules for sizing and fitting breast implants.1) My philosophy includes guiding patients to explore reasonable options for breast implant size, usually two to three similar sizes, which allows the patient to visualize how different volumes affect their breast cup. 2) The best guide for a final breast implant size and shape recommendation is derived using measurements from the patient’s own breasts and chest. 3) When measurements are considered then options for sizes can be presented. 4) I use the Mentor Volume Sizing System of breast sizers to demonstrate how these different volumes will look on a patient’s body. 5) This methods offers good reliability and is simple to use, but is not perfect. The measurement of the breast width will help to guide HP versus moderate +. Ask your PS to review this number with you and discuss your options and expected outcomes. Best wishes, Dr. ALDO.

Answer: Breast augmentation size Thank you for your question and posting an appropriate picture. You seem to be a good candidate for breast augmentation and the size you have mentioned will likely fill your breast envelope. You may need revision of your prior breast lift procedure at the same time. Breast of luck.

Answer: Patients choose the volume of the implant. The plastic surgeon chooses the profile. It's important the patient may clear the ultimate volume for the breast augmentation. There good sizing systems to do this. Choice of profile are shape is a judgment call by the plastic surgeon depending on the anatomy of the patient's chest.
