Can I continue to breastfeed after butt implants with fat transfer?

Dear jdgis,   Before answering your question, let me tell you that fat injection to the butt is a waste of your time and your money. The fat disappears in few months or even faster, as I have seen on many patients who came to my surgery center for butt implants surgery, after the big disappointment from the fat injection that was done by other surgeons.   Your best option is large butt implants , that will give you the desired projection , fill up the butt laterally and superiorly, giving you a nice 'S' curve. To get that result you will need to consult with experienced board certified plastic surgeon who uses the sub fascia technique (on top of the muscle) and the oval round , ultra soft silicone implants.   Now to your question. My patients use antibiotics for 5 days and pain medications (narcotics) for 3-4 days and during that time , if my patients are breasts feeding, the milk has to be pumped and dumped during that period of time in order to avoid complications with your baby. Brazilian Buttock Lift is an elective surgery that can wait till you finish breast feeding.You have a 5 months old that needs care and after such surgery you will not be able to.Plus the fact that your hormonal condition makes the surgery a higher risk.

Hello and thank you for your question!First and foremost you shouldn't consider surgery if you're still breastfeeding. You should wait after you finish breastfeeding to get surgery, specially a transfer surgery, because you'll probably be losing some weight during this time. There's no direct correlation between this type of surgery and breastfeeding, however I do not recommend undergoing any type of surgery while you breastfeed.Please consult a board certified surgeon for further advice on this matter.Good luck!
