It depends upon how recent was your surgery. This could be normal if you had buttock implants only a couple weeks ago. The buttock tends to be flat on the bottom until the implant drops down and pushes out as the tissue swelling goes away and the muscle relaxes. Hence, at 4 to 6 months after surgery the buttock typically has more projection in the middle and lower buttock. Glad to help.
The contours show the implants are too high. The contours will probably not change over time. A revision, possibly with exchange for a different size/shape implant is required. Be sure to consult a surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery who has some experience with this procedure.
Buttock implants are usually done under general anesthesia. I have made excellent experience with asking my team of anesthesists to add an epidural which can keep you pain free in the first 24 hours when pain can sometimes be intense. That is surgeon preference so not everybody will do that.
It is very difficult to determine the exact size and shape implant you will require to best match your ideal butt image without an examination by a board certified plastic surgeon. Not just any board certified plastic surgeon, but one with many years of frequently performing breast augmentation...
Thank you for your question. Every surgeon has their own post-operative protocols. I recommend asking your surgeon how he/she would recommend you care for your incisions. Best of Luck,
