Do butt implants always flip and move?

I want to get my butt bigger but I am very thin. I weight 115. I wish I could do fat transfer but I have no fat :(. So Ive been really looking into getting implants but I've been seeing a lot of cases where the implants flip or move so Im scared.

Dear Gilzaa,  Butt implants flipping or rotation are very rare when the right measures are taken. Besides, fat injection is a waste of time and money, because the fat disappears completely or almost completely after few months or even sooner, as I have witnessed with many patients who came to my surgery center for butt implants surgery after their big disappointment from the fat injection surgery that was done by other surgeons.    My technique involves oval round implants placed in a sub fascia pocket (above the Gluteal muscle). The advantages of this technique over the intra muscular technique are the followings:   1. Much larger implants size possible. The biggest that I have used is 660 cc , but bigger implants can be used when the anatomy allows it.   2. More natural look with nice 'S' curve, because the pocket  is dissected up to the posterior Iliac crest bone , where the Gluteal muscle attaches to.  3. More round butts, because the implants can extend to the lateral indentation under the hips.  4. Quicker recovery with less pain since the pocket is above the muscle.   To avoid rotation of the implants, I stitch them to the fascia, make a precise pocket and apply a Velcro binder on the butt for one month. This manoeuvres stabilize the implants until the capsule (scar) around the implants becomes strong and holds the implants in their desired place.     Always, consult with experienced board certified plastic surgeons who do lots of butt implants surgery in accredited surgery center for your safety. Most importantly, check the before and after pictures in the photo gallery, to make sure that they are numerous, consistent and attractive. With butt implants I think it is fair to say that it is a surgery which requires a lot of experience and a high caseload to do right. Unfortunately, it seems that only few surgeons have really a lot of experience and thus a lot of avoidable problems happen. Flipping of buttock implants can happen even in the best of hands, but if the operation is done correctly it is very unlikely. If the operation is not done the right way, it is of course much more probable that this happens. So make sure you find a surgeon who does hundreds of butts every year, and you will have a high chance to have a very satisfying experience.

Buttock implant migration and flipping is unique to buttock implants that are placed above the muscle. Such flipping is rarer but has been known to happen. Intramuscular buttock implants are held firmly in placed by the muscle pocket so these issues are not a concern.

Buttock Implant surgery requires extensive expertise and experience.To prevent complications it is important to choose the right doctor.If executed right the chances of implant flipping is extremely small.It all depend also on the size of the implant.the larger the implant the more frequent the complications.Positioning the implant under the muscle so that the muscle acts like a hammock to hold the muscle is important.
