I know US doesn't offering soft silicone but out side of country does for butt implants. What is the pros and cons, hard silicone vs soft silicone. Which way is the best to have implants, under the muscle or intramuscular or sub-facial...?
Answer: "Hard" vs "soft" silicone buttock implants? More specifically, I think you are asking about silicone gel ("soft") versus semi-solid silicone rubber ("hard") buttock implants. In short, silicone gel buttock implants are not FDA approved and thus not legal for buttock implantation in the USA. I actually see about one patient a month that had gel implants done in another country and, although they looked a felt great at first, they are now seeking revision because the implants are either visible on top of the muscle and/or grossly deformed by scar contracture or a ruptured implant. The soft semi-solid silicone rubber implants used in the USA are much less likely to have these problems if placed correctly under the gluteus muscle AND are considered permanent implants because they cannot rupture and leak silicone gel. Breast implants can rupture and leak thus replacement every ten years is the general recommendation. Similar to breast implants, as long as the appropriate implant size/shape is selected and the implant is placed in the correct anatomic plane (i.e. either under or within the gluteus maximus muscle but not on top of or "subfascial"), the end result should look and feel natural - like an athletically fit buttock. Glad to be of help

Answer: Silicone gel vs ultra soft smi solid silicone implants Dear Texan, Silicone gel implants or saline implants are the wrong choice for butt implants , for 3 reasons:1. They can easily break when having intense sex.2. The are not shapely, so the shape of the butt is not natural. They can not create a nice 'S' curve or round hips.3. Even mild capsule contracture can deform the butt, while semi solid implants maintain the butt shape , because they do not get squeezed. As far as pocket location, in my opinion, the sub fascia is the best option for the following reasons:1. Allows for large implants (my biggest 660 cc), while the others allow for small to moderate size.2. Allow for nice 'S ' curve and round hips, while the others create un natural bubble butt.3. Recovery is faster with less pain.Always, consult with experienced board certified plastic surgeons who operate in accredited surgery center for your safety. Most importantly, check the before and after pictures in the photo gallery, to make sure that they are numerous, consistent and attractive with the above mentioned features and natural look. Also, check the reviews on 'RealSelf' for rating and positive experience reports. Best of luck, Dr Widder

Answer: Buttock Implants Contemporary buttock implants today are made of an ultrasoft solid silicone gel material so they would be classified as 'soft buttock implants' and are available in the U.S.

Answer: US buttock implants The implants available in the US are a soft silicone that is more like the Gummy breast implants. They are not as soft as the cohesive gel implants. I liken them to the texture of the gel pads one wears in shoes.

Answer: Buttocks implant There are three companies that provide buttocks implants for use. These are all gummy bear in consistency, meaning that they are soft but firm. In order to determined which implant is best for you, an evaluation is necessary by a buttocks implant specialist to measure buttocks cheek diameters.
