Are my lips too small for lip augmentation? (photos)

Hi and thank you for your question! No lip is really too small for augmentation and we can always add some volume which can look nice if done carefully. Being in this field for years, I am certainly no stranger to concerns like yours. To be honest, the problem with cosmetic medical treatments is that when done properly and skillfully, few people would be able to notice it that some "works" have been done, while almost everyone can spot the work that has been done improperly (e.g. over-filling, etc). Hence, many people tend to fear cosmetic treatments thinking that it will make them look "fake". When done properly, cosmetic injections will have balanced and natural-looking results. In your case, if you are too concerned, it's always a good idea to do gradual work in small steps to make sure you get used to the result and like it. In worst case, we can always revised or dissolve hyaluronic acid fillers if patient is not satisfied with the results. Lip augmentation can be done in a variety of ways.  Depending on the method, very different sizes and shapes can be created.  I believe that lip augmentations should be completed to slightly plump and enlarge the lips without changing their shape.  I believe conservative injections should be stressed and the lips should be injected over 2 sessions spaced 2 weeks apart. I believe you could have a wonderful result from conservative lip injections.I hope this helps.  

You have an interesting perspective regarding your nose's relationship to your lips. Many times I will augment a patient's weak chin when doing a rhinoplasty, when indicated, the combination of procedures works well.  The same concept may apply to you, only if you are unhappy with your nose! If not, the simpler alternative is to just augment your lips.  For a longer term result, I prefer fat transfer, because in most cases, at least 1/3 of the transferred fat stays permanently, in my hands. The procedure is done under local anesthesia and takes less than an hour.  A quicker option is fillers, like hyaluronic acid,  which last only about 2 months, but if you don't like the look, it eventually goes away. I am not a fan of the longer lasting fillers for the lips because of possibility of migration. Good Luck
