Answer: Pimples in donor area one month after FUE surgery GGman123,There are a few possibilities that may be occurring. These "pimples" could be in-grown hairs, peri-folliculitis, or acne. I would recommend that you see your doctor for further evaluation and treatment. If that is not possible then see a dermatologist in your area for equation and treatment. Good luck.Bernardino A. Answer: Pimples 1 months post op The pictures show what appears to be folliculitis. You must go back to your doctor and get a diagnosis and appropriate treatment or you might harm the grafts.

Answer: Pimples in donor area Step #1 - Find a local doctor who can take care of you in the post-operative phase of your hair transplant. We docs here are limited by the internet. You will need someone to actually look at you and know your case if things "go South," so please do this. (And I know lots of people think that medical tourism is a harmless was to save $ but it really has a lot of risk.Step #2 - Try hot moist compresses for 10 minutes a few times (and up to hourly! if you are motivated) per day this is both a treatment and a preventative measure. You can pop these pimples and they will often resolve well, and the hot compresses help them come to a head.Step #3 - consider other medications including; steroids (hydrocortisone 1% over the counter is what we try first). Large ones can be injected in the office (it takes a very short amount of time) and topical stronger steroids can be called in to the pharmacy if you need themantibiotics - for about 2 weeks. These are cheap and effective too assuming the infection is susceptible (i.e. not MRSA or some of the other emerging drug resistant bugs worldwide)Good Luck!
