Thank you for your question. I recommend seeking the advice of your operating surgeon regarding this matter. I tell my patients to wait six weeks before performing any rigorous physical activity, but please address this with your surgeon who knows how well you are healing and what would be best for you.All the best,Dr. ResultsMiami, FL
Thanks for sharing your concerns with us. In my practice I dont recommend this kind of activitys until 3 months post op to have a better recovery and avoid unnecesary risks. Respectfully, Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-
hello,Thank you for your question. Typically, my patients can return to regular activity and workouts as well as swimming by 6 weeks so this is likely possible for you now, however I'd advise you to call your Plastic Surgeon for specific advise about your recovery and restrictions. All the best!
You should be getting to a regular activity level however always consult with your PS as they know your body best and what was performed.
Congratulations on your procedures! Typically patients are cleared to return to more strenuous activities after six weeks, which would include going on water slides at this point. However it is always best to first get this cleared by your surgeon. She/He is most familiar with the details of your surgery and how you've been progressing through recovery.
If your recovery has been uneventful and your wounds are completely healed, going to a water slide at eight weeks should be okay. It would be best however for you to confirm this with your surgeon. Your surgeon knows and understands your situation better than anyone. Good luck and have fun
In my practice most of my patients are back to their normal activities within six to eight weeks after surgery. I doubt that a waterslide will cause any problems with your abdominal incision, but would suggest that you cross your arms over your breasts to protect them while on the waterslide. If you have no open wounds or serious complications, and have healed up in a normal manner, you should be able to go down a waterslide.
Your plastic surgeon is in the best position to advise you about your post operative activities. Its great that your recovery has been smooth and you are feeling capable of participating in normal activities but it is best to ease back into regular activity. High impact water slides should be avoided.
I recommend you run that question by your plastic surgeon. It would really depend on how extensive your surgery was and how well you are recovering. Good luck!
I would definitely consult with your PS and make sure he/she is happy for you to waterslide. There are many different types of waterslide and many different types of surgical techniques for tummy tuck and abdominoplasty. Only your PS and you can make an informed decision as to which waterslides you can go on!It sounds like your surgery and recovery has gone well and presuming this is the case in my own patients waterparks are probably OK. I would start off slow and build up slowly. I would probably avoid the "summit plummet" type vertical drop slides though at this point.
Compression socks are necessary only if your surgeon recommends them as part of your post-operative plan.
Hello,Thank you for your question and photos. Yes, it is possible to still have a little residual swelling 4 months after your procedure. I recommend that you wait until 6 months to assess your results and visit with your Plastic Surgeon at that time to discuss possible, additional liposuction...
Thanks for sharing your concerns with us.Dental work before surgery is not a good recommendation. I suggest you to postpone one of the procedures to another moment to avoid unnecesary complications.Respectfully,Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-
Hello,It sounds like that drain is on it's way out and no longer effective. You need to be seen in person. At one week, depending on your level of output, it may be fine to just completely remove it. Contact your Plastic Surgeon. All the best
