The revision implies that there is less fat than the first time, and scar tissue will make the surgery much more difficult on the surgeon. The percentage of fat survival in the BBL the second time should be about the same.Kenneth Hughes, MD, ABPS Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA
Dear staymobbin, based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a BBL. Liposuction of your abdomen, back and flanks should give you more curves and hourglass shape and fat transfer to buttocks should give you more projection. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Thank you so much for sharing with us your question. You can get a BBL procedure done but you need to keep in mind you will not see too many difference, you have the option to gain weight at least 10 pounds over your ideal weight. Best of luck,Dr. Quiroz!
It’s not uncommon for patients to request a second bbl in order to increase the size of their behind. You would need a physical exam by a board certified plastic surgeon in order to determine if you have enough fat for a second bbl. sometimes plastic surgeons ask their patients to gain weight before surgery, if they feel that they do not have enough fat for a bbl. I’m very excited about a new high tech device used to perform BBLs. It’s called the Vibrastat. (Please see the Vibrastat video on our page). I hope you find this information useful. Please see the enclosed video.
You are an excellent candidate for a BBL revision but you MUST use VASER to harvest your fat. VASER allows us to etch you body by removing both the superficial and deep fat.Based on your pictures, you are an excellent candidate for a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL). The optimal BBL outcomes are achieved with: 1) use of VASER liposuction to harvest the fat, 2) a closed looped system such as Puregraft to process the fat, and 3) strategic micro-packet transplant technique. These three processes have demonstrated over 95% fat graft take. This means that your results will be stable as long as you maintain your weight. As an official VASER trainer, I am routinely referred unhappy BBL patients. One of the most common reasons for disgruntled BBL patients is that patients are not able to accurately communicate their desired buttocks goals to their surgeons. A buttocks assessment tool can be an invaluable tool to communicate to your surgeon the exact buttocks size and shape you are desiring. A Skype or FaceTime consultation with a BBL specialist can help you get an accurate recommendation and pricing.Respectfully, Arian Mowlavi MD, FACSRealself 100 Hall of Fame Inductee
