My earlobes curl up in a strange way, what can I do?

Question

These aren’t protruding ears, it’s just my earlobes. What kind of surgeon should I speak to ? And is this normal or a deformity, only asking because I’ve never seen anyone with earlobes like mine.

You have a fairly common earlobe appearance. This is something that plastic surgeons deal with frequently when doing ear setback surgeries. Correction involves suturing the backside of he earlobe to the skin opposite it on the side of the head. This type of surgery is done by board certified plastic surgeons. You should see one in consultation.

An in person examination is necessary to give you personal medical advice. You could consider consulting a suitably qualified and experienced plastic surgeon. From the photograph above I would expect to consider your earlobes normal. There is great variation in the shape and prominence of earlobes from one person to another.Best wishes.

Good morning.
Your earlobes are normal. The slight curl you see is a normal variant. A small procedure done by a plastic Surgeon should be enough to setback the earlobes as you would like.

Hello and thank you for your question and your pictures.
Although an in-person examination would provide a much better assessment of your earlobe anatomy and skin quality, based on your pictures alone it appears that your earlobe has a distinctive upward curve. Perhaps the cartilage around the rim of the ear extends more inferiorly in your case, resulting in an upward pull on your earlobe skin. You may benefit from an earlobe reconstruction.
I recommend you see a board-eligible or board-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic plastic surgery. Be sure they address all your concerns about reconstructing the earlobe including the risks and benefits of the procedure, recovery time and postoperative course. 
I believe a key component of the consultation is to establish a good connection with your plastic surgeon. If you don’t feel you have a good connection after your consultation then they may not be the best surgeon for you.
