Yes you can use sunscreen at that time.. And you can use a hat if you would like to. But try not to burn your scalp for the first three months. Just use a spray sunscreen or.

Hello,Sun exposure should be avoided for first 12 weeks.  UV light can damage hair.  More specifically, hair protein degradation occurs at wavelengths of 254nm-400nm, while UVB is responsible for hair protein loss while UVA is responsible for color changes.  On newly transplanted hair, the hair can be damaged by free radicals and photochemical degradation.

Unless you had grafts transplanted on the temples, you should be wearing a hat from day 1.  Pts should be able to apply spray sunblock once all the scabs have healed. This time period ranges anywhere from 7 to 10 days. It depends on if you are a quick healer.
