4 weeks post op FUE, transplanted hair not shedding or growing. Is this normal?

Hi, I have a query that I hope someone will be able to help with. I'm 4 weeks post-op FUE and have noticed a number of hairs in grafts that were transplanted have not shed or grown. They basically look the same length as the day they were implanted. Is this normal? Other hair has either shed or grown. Thanks in advance.

It may take 6 to 12 months to see the results of a hair transplant surgery.  If you are concerned it is best to discuss it with your doctor.

Some hair takes longer than others to both shed and grow. You will know better in eight to ten more weeks.

You're in that middle period -- where at 2-3 weeks you start to see shedding but you are a little too early to start seeing real growth which starts at 2-3 months.  Not all hairs will shed at the same time and not all hair will start growing at the exact same time.  Hair growth occurs in a cycle. Give it more time.

Great question.It is normal not shedding at 4 weeks PO but in my opinion, it is NOT normal NO hair growing after 4 weeks. I will suggest you to contact your hair surgeon for evaluation and discussion. Good luck.

It is going to take a few more weeks because shedding should start now. No one mentioned that you can help the hairs to shed by scrubbing your scalp during shampoos. It will not harm the grafts and only hairs that are supposed to shed, will.

At 4 weeks I would not expect growth and although usually shedding starts about now, it might yet take a few more weeks before it shows
