Interesting question. If you routinely get Botox injections without side effects then go right ahead and get both on the same day. If you have never had botox before then I would probably not get both on the same day just in case you could have a rare side effect from the Botox or the Flu shot. Good luck. Botox to prevent wrinkles and the Flu shot to prevent feeling miserable, talk about the new day of preventive medicine !!!
Both flu shots and botox shots are not fun so I would separate them by a day if possible. Sincerely, David Hansen,MD
The flu shot can cause muscle pain and headaches. I would recommend you have the flu shot wait a couple days to ensure the symptoms are over and then go ahead with the Botox.
I don't see any contraindication to getting Botox on the same day as the Flu Shot. I would just let your Botox injector know that you received the Flu Shot on the same day. Good luck!
Let your injector know; however, there is no contraindication to have both injections performed on the same day. While both injections can cause "flu-like" symptoms or headaches, there is not much you'll do differently if the source is the Botox or the source is the flu shot. I wish you well!
