Due to birth trauma, I have a sever TMJ problem. My joint clicks and hurts so bad that I cannot bear it. I've tried therapy for the joint and it does not seem to work. Moreover, I was told that my lip and my ears are asymmetrical because of the birth trauma. Is it possible to have these 3 issues corrected in the same procedure?

Answer: Most facial plastic surgeons do not perform TMJ arthroscopy.
Based on your photos, you appear to have a well-formed anti-helix on both sides, and perhaps your conchal bowls are deep causing your ears to protrude, more on your right than your left. Otoplasty surgery with Conchal setback sutures may be considered for allowing your ears to be less visible on...
We can see in your photos that your ears are still prominent on both sides. Please consider getting a copy of your operative report and meeting with a another facial plastic surgeon for a second opinion. Wishing you well moving forward. Sincerely, Dr Joseph
When you remove the stud, if the piercing hole is not unsightly and large, it may be best to leave it alone and consider re-piercing your earlobe in a more favorable position. I hope this helps! Sincerely, Dr Joseph
