Answer: Donor site bleeding Bleeding is very unusual 1 month after surgery. It really depends on what kind of donor site harvest technique was used. When you say you had FUT done, that stands for Follicular Unit Transplantation, and refers to how the hair was grafted into the recipient site (presumably the front and temporal scalp areas in most people). That has nothing to do with the back of the head, or the donor area. If the hair grafts were taken from the back of your head using the old strip harvest method, and you had sutures or staples to close the incision, you'd still have a long, linear scar on the back of your scalp. That can take up to 6 weeks to heal, and if you scratched it with your finger nails, you could re-injure the incision and cause some light bleeding. If you had the FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) method for harvesting hair from the back of your scalp, you should have 1900 very small, round scars that are barely visible or noticeable. Those normally heal well within a week, and it would be very, very hard to see how you could cause fresh bleeding one month out. On rare occasion, you could develop a small cyst at the donor area from an ingrown hair - that can happen with either strip or FUE technique, and would cause a small bump. That could also explain the small amount of bleeding, but could also lead to a minor infection, so keep an eye on it.If this was a single event I wouldn't worry to much, as long as everything else is healing well, and it doesn't happen again. If this is something that happens regularly, you should go back and see your surgeon and have your donor area examined.

Answer: 1 months following FUT Scratching your head is bad as it can introduce an infection if your finger nail breaks the skin. The bleeding indicates to were to hard on the scratch
