How do you correct a soft tissue pollybeak?

Hello Doctors - There isn't enough info on the internet on how to fix pollybeak deformity from over-resection of supra-tip cartilage on a thick skinned patient. If surgery is the best way to fix this, what surgical approach is taken? I know no more cartilage can be removed but can scar tissue/soft tissue be removed? how do you ensure that this time the skin will re-drape or contract onto the underlying structure? Also - are corticosteroid injections more effective than surgery in this case?
