Question

I had Restylane Classic injected under both eyes about five months ago. I have been sleeping on my back the last month or so because every time I sleep on my right side (which I prefer) I get a dent under my right eye. It takes pretty much an entire day for it to go back to normal. Is this a sign that it is wearing off and I need to have the fillers injected again? Is it because of the type of filler? Thank you!

I like using thinner hyaluronic fillers under the eyes because of swelling. Restylane usually lasts 6-9- months in that area. In your case it depends on the type of filler used and how much your provider placed in each area. I like using small cannulas in that area instead of needles to prevent bruising. Nothing you are doing is causing the Restylane to break up faster, so don't worry. Talk with your provider to get the low down on what was originally done. Hope this helps. JB

Restylane may last up to 9 months. How long before its effect goes away depends on a lot of factors. Please contact a qualified provider or a board-certified physician with extensive experience in these procedures.
