The lines that you are showing in your picture would be best treated with a dermal filler such as juvederm or restylane. Not too uncommon at your age. Cost is anywhere from $450 to $650.I hope this helps.- Dr. Bryson Richards
This area would respond very well to injectable fillers like Juvederm or Restylane, which would smooth away the wrinkles.
It looks like a filler such as Juvederm would be a better option for you. Botox will not help with the lines around your mouth, you need a product to fill them in. In Utah 1 syringe of Juvederm is usually around $600. I would recommend meeting with a board certified plastic surgeon in your area to discuss treatment options.
Hi Jen. Botox is not the product you need. Dermal fillers are used for the smile lines and we have options such as Restylane, Perlane and Radiesse. Given your age, you would probably not need that much, but an in person consultation is a good way to start. For examples of before and after pictures of Radiesse injections for our patients in Downey, CA, click the link below.
Hi Jenn. The cost of Botox varies depending on geographical location, skill of the injector, etc. However, as far as your laugh lines are concerned Botox would not be an appropriate treatment. The development of smile lines are due to volume loss and are best treated with dermal fillers such as Juvederm and Belotero. You can find more information on dermal fillers by clicking the link below.
The patient cost for Botox varies widely. In Denver, I charge $12 per unit and I perform all of the injections. With that said, Botox is not typically used to soften smile lines. Fillers or fat transfer are most often used to soften lines in that area. Seek a consultation for specific advice about what would help you achieve your goals. I hope this information is helpful for you.Stephen Weber MD, FACSDenver Facial Plastic Surgeon
This area is not an area to treat with Botox, but it will respond to fillers nicely. Happily, fillers last longer than Botox in general, so do have a consultation with an experienced injector to find out what is right for you.
Botox is not indicated for the smile lines you are referring to in your photo. Perhaps a filler such as Juvederm or Restylane may be used instead, but you'd need to see a doctor to discuss your expectations and to determine if such treatment can be of benefit in addressing the issue.
and you're only 19 years old...are you certain that the lines are the real issue...talk to a dermatologist or a plastic surgeon and make sure you're embarking on the right path...you can easilyl end up spending a lot of money and receiving minimal benefits...if there's more than the picture demonstrates...botox is available and costs only a tiny bit for the lips...but you really can't get too much and it doesn't work too long in that location...a filler into the lip line improves the appearance but usually is necessary only for older individuals..
Hello,If you are interested in treating lines around your mouth when you smile, Botox is not the appropriate product. Botox lessens wrinkles by relaxing the muscles used to create the wrinkles. You would not want to relax the muscles that allow you to move your lips. The better treatment for this area would be a dermal filler product such as Restylane or Juvederm. These products treat wrinkles by plumping them. I hope this helps you in your research, however, I would recommend that you have a consultation appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon prior to undergoing any sort of treatment. Best of luck to you.
There is almost no side effects from Botox and if you are concerned please see your injector. There is nothing to reverse the cosmetic effects of botox except for waiting/time. Best, Dr. Emer.
Dolly,First let's address the issue of what causes crows feet and under eye laxity. The last few years since dermal-fillers have come on the scene in plastic surgery, we as cosmetic surgeons have come to realize the importance of facial volume loss and the significance this plays in aging...
Absolutely not. Anti-inflammatories will not have any effect on Botox when used for blepharospam. Best wishes.
