Dr. Day is phenomenal! His bedside manners are fantastic and gentle. He is a very intelligent man and made sure to be thorough in explaining the process of what I was going to experience. I was very nervous going into my surgery but he made sure there were no surprises and talked me through every step until I was asleep. Every staff member I encountered at Seton Medical Center made my experience so amazing. My results only a week after surgery are already far beyond what I expected. He did an amazing job on my tummy tuck with lipo! I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Day and his staff! I will be forever grateful for Dr. Day and would recommend him to proudly to anybody seeking plastic surgery services.
He was very nice and thorough in explaining the procedure. I was very self conscious about my body and Dr. Day helped me love my body. He is amazing and glad I went with him for my BA. I went from a 32 A to a 34 D. I got 375cc. The healing process was smooth and not as painful as i thought it was, it was hard for me to not do anything since i felt good and little pain.
I am the mother of four grown children. I work out regularly, eat a healthy diet and have always had loose skin in my abdomen.I am now menopausal and have put on extra weight in my flank area once menopause hit. I went through with the tummy tuck nd liposuction of flanks on 12/1/17 with Dr. Charles Day in Harker Heights, Texas. He and his office staff are wonderful. He is vey patient and answers all questions. He is lo a skilled plastic surgeon. I am now on post-op Day 3 and feeling ok. There is slot of pain with movement involving my abdominal muscles because he pulled them in tight. I m thrilled with the results. I can’t wait for ll the swelling and soreness to resolve. I’ve posted one per-op photos and a couple post-op as well. I’ll post more once the bruising and swelling goes own an drains are out. Updated on 1 Jan 2018: 4 weeks post surgery. Much less sore. Back at Work. I am very pleased with my outcome so far.
Dr. Day is the Best I am on day 3 post op breast implants. He was very attentive, caring, and he listened to what I wanted. My breast look natural and a perfect size, I let him choose everything. My ta tas look amazing . Worth every penny.
Hello all I am a 27 yr old mother of 4! I'm married to my BFF! I have always, always, always, wanted bigger breasts! I have always been absolutely flat chested and my plastic surgeon said I had a minor case of tubular Breast. I have never ever been comfortable wearing bikinis, or even showing my loving husband my body. That has all changed!!! It's hard for me to keep my shirt on now days!!! Lol! Updated on 25 Aug 2015: I forgot to mention size. Dr. Day gave me 400 CC Moderate plus profile silicone gel implants under the muscle/ under Breast fold incision. It is what he recommended for my size. They are perfect for me! I am absolutely in love with them!!
So I'm about to post a preop picture....reminding myself of how beautiful my boobs currently are....and praying for the best. My surgery is August 20th at 0645...two days and waiting. It's funny that the 300cc sizers seemed so big for someone like me with a 12BWD...yet, I'm still having a little bit of boob greed. Starting with a 32B should bring me to a C I hope. Updated on 20 Aug 2014: So I had surgery this morning. I was in at 7am...I was home before 10am. It's not so much of pain but tightness and pressure is what you feel. I took two vicodins when I got home...sadly it did not help with the tightness. I've been a me to roll myself out of bed and use the bathroom and stuff. So far so good. I do wish my bf was here to help...another reason why being with a Soldier is so difficult. Anyway...here are some pictures three hours after the surgery. Updated on 21 Aug 2014: Hey guys...I'm one day post op. I drove myself to my follow up appointment. Dr. Ray said everything looked good but to remain without a bra if possible. My sides are swollen and my left breast is slightly bigger than my right. Curious to see the finished result. Updated on 22 Aug 2014: Quick question...when I stand up now my breasts feel heavy, like they're pulling my chest down. Is that what dropping feels like? I'll post some pictures later. The swelling is going down, and they're finally getting a shape. Last thing, my breasts keep rubbing against the inframmamary incision site...it's annoying but at least the scars are hidden. My surgeon used glue and not suture. The site feels so bumpy...he told me to not put anything on it until next week when I see him. Updated on 23 Aug 2014: Swelling is going down....I can put my hands above my head, behind my back etc. The only worry I have is the incision site feels rough because of the skin glue he put on there. I'm not sure if that was a good idea....we'll see next week. Updated on 25 Aug 2014: My surgeon users skin glue to close up my incisions and I'm not sure if it's the glue but my skin feels very rough in that area. Has anyone else experienced this? Updated on 25 Aug 2014: I meant he "used" skin glue. Hate typing on the phone. Updated on 27 Aug 2014: Check this picture out. Still some dropping to do. Updated on 7 Sep 2014: My right breast is still tighter than the left...I've been massaging like crazy so hopefully it will fully drop. I finally invested in some under armour sports bra...they're about 35 bucks per...but the support is great. 300cc was actually perfect for my size. I can't wait to start lifting next week! Updated on 19 Sep 2014: Hello everyone, Tomorrow will make it 4 weeks since I've had my BA. This morning I went to VS and was measured to be a 32D. Unfortunately the wireless Bra I wanted did not have size 32D. So I decided to try on the 34D, and the results are down below. Right now the biggest problem is my incision site....they get pretty sore and annoying. I get random shooting pain on each breast...not sure if that's normal. I'd like to hear about your healing 4 weeks post op. Feel free to comment!
Day three and I'm feeling well. The swelling is uncomfortable at times but it's less today than yesterday. My first post op was yesterday and dr day says I'm doing excellent. No drains just a binder this time. He took just over a liter of fat from my tummy and says it's basically gone. My breasts sagged significantly and hindered me during exercise as well as in the ability to wear smaller tops. Updated on 21 Dec 2013: Day four and I really feel no pain. I'm a little tired and tender directly underneath my breasts where there is bruising. I have some tenderness on my flanks due to the liposuction but overall I feel good. I am beginning to feel a slight itching but it's nothing that I find to bothersome. I already feel very happy with how my breasts are much perkier and my nipples point straightahead. I look forward to wearing small tops or little sundresses and not having huge sagging boobs or having to wear heavy duty strapless bras. Updated on 22 Dec 2013: I basically feel fine- I have tenderness on my sides but no pain. I'm only taking Motrin - I went out today to the grocery and visited friends at the gym. I wish I Could workout now but I don't want to hurt myself. I am happy with my breasts now - I know they're going to settle down and not be as firm eventually. My swelling is less today and my brushing is fading. I credit my recovery to fitness. If you take care of your body - it takes care of you :) happy healing! Updated on 24 Dec 2013: Feeling good- follow up today. Ps removed steristrips from under breasts- that sorta hurt! Got a look at my cuts and I'm totally pleased with the look. I had an awesome surgeon! Not released to work out yet- 1 more week. Updated on 25 Dec 2013: So last week at this time I'd been out of surgery for about 6 hours- today my steri aria are off and I'm feeling well. Today is the first day I saw my nipples- they're a little weird looking but I still have feeling and I know they'll heal. My swelling decreases each day and overall I feel great. Updating pix today. Updated on 2 Jan 2014: Overall I am so very pleased with my left – I've been traveling a lot over the holidays and sitting in the car was uncomfortable at times. My binder is irritating because it rubs my skin and sometimes I just want to lay out flat and relax. My breasts are dropping a little bit and looking a little more normal. One of my nipples looks a tiny bit red and I called my doctor who prescribed another round of antibiotics just to be safe – especially since I am out of town. I've worked out if you times and I feel pretty good. It's not that fun to have my breast bounce though and it causes a little bit of pain in my upper chest pectoral area. I'll be going to the doctor again on Monday and will update. One of the things that I find most troublesome to deal with is the fact that my nipples are hard a lot and it's uncomfortable because I'm not supposed be wearing a bra now. I went to a local store and bought silicone nipple covers. They are at he said but is very gentle and the center around the nipple is not adhesive at all. They fit close to the skin and they're comfortable and keep my nipples from rubbing all the time which is very uncomfortable to me. When I have them on I feel a lot better and I take them off at night to ensure that my skin can breathe. Updated on 5 Jan 2014: Sorry about all the typos - talking into your phone doesn't always work ;) Updated on 6 Jan 2014: At my checkup today my Dr. said that I am healing wonderfully. He popped some of my stitches near my cleavage to release some of the puckering in the skin... I found this painful and I did not like it. The stitches will eventually dissolved but he wanted to rush things along a little bit. I was released to work out and resume activities. He stated that nothing I can do will undo the work has been done. I would put back in one month for pictures. Updated on 13 Jan 2014: Almost one month out and I'm feeling fine --scars are fading and swelling lessens all the time. Updating to post picture. Updated on 14 Jan 2014: Pictures Updated on 21 Jan 2014: So I'm nearly 5 weeks out and I'm feeling basically normal. I've resumed working out although I'm not quite at the intensity that I was before. Basically I have no pain although it is uncomfortable sometimes during stretching type exercises that pull at the incisions. My breasts have dropped and are much softer then they were and I think they are looking normal yet perky :-) my nipples are still rather sensitive and seems like they are hard more often than they used to be. I am still wearing the same size bra that I wore before surgery but now my breast stand up rather than being fully supported by the strong underwire. I'm extremely happy with my decision to have it left. My surgeon is an expert in my opinion – my scars are fading to the point where I feel confident that they will barely be noticeable and a month or so. One note jumping type exercises still are a little uncomfortable as the breast tissue moves up and down. I do feel a little soreness in my pectoral area after I do a lot of jumping because there is some swelling immediately following workouts. I know this will subside in the long run and things will be back to normal :-) Updated on 29 Jan 2014: I am six weeks postop today. I am feeling basically normal. When I jump a lot during workouts I do feel a tenderness in my upper chest but I talked to my doctor and he said that's normal as scar tissue is forming. I had a small black spot on one of my scars – see picture – and I went to the doctor to have it checked. It was a stitch that didn't dissolve as well and he removed it with tweezers. My scars are fading quickly and the ropey-ness of my underneath scars is flattening out quite a bit. Really I feel fine and I am very pleased with my decision. I have less nipple sensitivity as time goes on. I am wearing the same bra size I wore before surgery and they fit well with no muffin top to the top of my bra of saggy breast tissue.
I finally decided to research a breast lift, as I have never had perky boobs. I am 42 y/o with 1 daughter who is 19. I am so excited about new and improved breasts but someways the excitement is overshadowed by the anxiety! I am mainly anxious about being put to sleep. I am an RN and see patients being put to sleep..... I guess that makes me somewhat of a hypochondriac. To see the vulnerability of these patients is what freaks me out the most. I am tentatively scheduled for December 7th and am trying to remain cool and collective about it but find that somewhat challenging. My husband and daughter are very supportive.... Definitely want to press on! My surgeon is fantastic and answers all my questions thoroughly, and I feel confident in his ability and skill.Updated on 3 Dec 2012:I had my pre-op today, it went well and relieved my fears. Friday is the big day, the hospital will call me Wednesday to give me my report time. I have so much confidence in my surgeon, and I know he will give me the beautiful breasts I have always wanted! So thankful for this site, just knowing that everyone has the same anxieties and fears is reassuring!Updated on 12 Dec 2012:So I had my surgery last Friday, it was so surreal. I had some anxiety while in the Pre-op hold so I asked my nurse for some Versed. I highly recommend this medication for anyone with a bit of anxiety about getting on the OR table, having the Oxygen mask put on your face, etc. Anyway, the surgery went smooth, and I am very pleased with my Surgeons skills. PO day 1,2 and 3 went well, day 4 was awful. The chest tightness on Day 4 was intense and it caused me some anxiety. However, I got passed all that and am pleased to say the day 5 has been awesome! Tightness in the chest has decreased significantly, and the pain has been almost non-existent. In fact, pain was never an issue, I took Vicodin twice in the first 12hours post op, and since then just Motrin, Tylenol, and icepacks. My post op visit went well, and my surgeon is happy with how they look.
Day before.. I have lost about 120 pounds over the last 18 months and the result is (as all of you know) horrible ugly hanging skin. I work out 6-7 times a week, I run and have a personal trainer but without surgery this flap is going no where. I am VERY nervous of surgery. I have had a previous bad experience of being awake while intabated so I have a lot of fear. My husband will be gone on Army duties the week of my surgery but my best friend will be with me. She has the perfect personality to encourage me to move forward to reach my goals and yet support and love me. Updated on 2 Jul 2012: So the day of surgery I was nervous.. my best friend went with me to the operating room. The DR drew on me.. gave me a margarita in my IV and the next think I remember was waking up. I had no pain. I was sleepy but I was up in my room by 1230 and my surgery had begun at 7 am. My best friend came back and she took a picture of my belly to show me. I had tears of joy. I was comfortable.. on a morphine pain pump and resting. My dr does not use binders until 2 weeks out. I also had a catheter so no need to get up. I felt pretty well and even had a steak dinner that night. Updated on 2 Jul 2012: Day 2- still in hospital.. UGG! This was the worst day for me. I was on the morphine pain pump all day. I was dicharged at 4 and had been sitting for over 24 hours. I was so stiff and it hurt so bad to stand up. I went home with my friend who tried to feed me.. ( I felt sick) and then put me to bed with pergocet. IT was a rough night. If someone can sleep with you to help you get up then tie a rope or towel to the footboard to help you pull up. In my opinion day 2 was the worst. Updated on 2 Jul 2012: Day 3.. at home - moving about.. feeling better. I am getting up and down by day 3. Still pretty sleepy and tired. I have shortness of breath and the stitches are tight. Surprisingly the incision does not hurt, the drains are uncomfortable and the pulling inside is uncomfortable. I am positive and I think that helps. Updated on 2 Jul 2012: Day 4 at home most of the day.. went to the gym to greet friends who had been thinking and praying for me. Tired.. but good day overall. No pain.. little drain output. 1st post op visit tomorrow. Updated on 2 Jul 2012: So first post op was good. My Dr said I was an A+ patient. No complication.. great recovery. I am standing up 85% straight and I can get up and down fairly easily. I have little pain and I am mostly off the pain meds. Just a half here and there. I want to tell you that I was very physically fit before I had surgery. I lift weights 3 times a week, I run 5ks, I teach a group fitness cycling class and I credit my recovery to that fact. I am strong. My legs can lift me.. my arms are strong enough to stabilize me.. this MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE! My back didn’t hurt because it was strong enough to bear the extra burden of me walking hunched. I am supposed to get my drains removed on Thursday. Will update then. ? Happy Healing! Updated on 3 Jul 2012: Day 6 Good day. I drove for the first time today. I am slower in general but getting around well and standing up well. I stayed sleeping in the recliner for comfort because I am not ready to lay out flat yet. My hips which were liposuctioned hurt a lot. I feel internal tugging but it's not bad. I am still swollen of course. Overall I feel very well. I was able to go to a movie with my best friend today and then I went to the grocery. I miss working our but I will wait in order to make sure when I go back I will be well enough not to hurt myself. Updated on 3 Jul 2012: Just want to say..I am so happy to be done with surgery and on my way to re covery..so worth it. Updated on 4 Jul 2012: 1 week ago today I was in the recovery room after my tummy tuck. I am so glad it's over. I am sore at my lipo sites but getting up and down gets easier and easier. I feel good and I am going to a 4th of July BBQ today. Myupper back is a little sore..I am mostly straight but perhaps a little hunched over than fully erect. I feel fine though. I hate my drains and I can wait to get rid of them tomorrow. My out put is about 12cc every 12 hours and getting lighter in color. Updated on 5 Jul 2012: Day 8- Drains out! Ouch that hurt.. but only for a minute.. the freedom~! So today I am going to do RPM (a cycling class) but I am going to go very easy and stop if it hurts. I got my binder today.. supportive but hot! Updated on 6 Jul 2012: Day 9 Went shopping a little today.. I did feel tired. The drain sites hurt a little and I don't really like my binder.. it's hot and tight. Ugh.. overall I feel great. Getting up and down is easier.. I am still in the recliner due to the soreness of my lipo sites but they are getting better too. Updated on 6 Jul 2012: Added before pictures.. Updated on 7 Jul 2012: Day 10 Feeling pretty good today.. it doesn't hurt to get up or sit down. I can't really sleep on my sides yet.. but it's better each day. I worked out this AM.. a cycling class that I usually help teach.. it made me sad, but I tried. I can only physically go about 40% right now... but it's worth it. I did isolated lifting too (biceps). I am feeling well and healing well. The drain sites are sensitive but the incision does not hurt. I am upright and and can lay down flat now. I am pleased with my decision. Updated on 10 Jul 2012: Day 13..follow up appointment..doctor says I am doing extremely well and am an A+ patient. I am still puffy and he checked for a seroma ..which I did not have. He also took all the scabs out of my Belly button which was unpleasant..ugh. He released me to workout again reminding me they I did just have major Surgery. So I f feel well..the soreness lessens each day. my sides still remain the most sensitive. Updated on 11 Jul 2012: Day 14 I was a little more tired than usual today. I don;t know if its from going back to work or from working out.. or just a normal part of healing. Overall a feel very well. I had some tightness at my mid section that made it very hard to stand up straight... the dr said I could gently stretch and I did and felt better. My glue is beginning to come off my incinsion. My belly button does look better after yesterdays "cleaning". I am irritated by my binder.. it makes my skin sore.. I don;t like it. The dr told me I don;t have to continue to wear it.. it says my swelling is "stable". So at the 2 weeks PO point I am pleased.. I like being flatter than ever before. I just want to heal faster! :) Updated on 18 Jul 2012: Day 21- I am doing very well. Physically I am about 90%. My hips are still a little sore and I still swell, but overall I am doing very well. My glue is coming off and I have been cleared to swim etc. I ran a mile 2 days ago and did ok.. back to pre op times. I taught a cycling class yesterday so I am healing well. The dr. did check for a seroma again yesterday just to make sure but there was none. He said I no longer have to wear my binder as well. He suggested a support garmet for comfort. I am runing a 5k on Saturday so we'll see how it goes. I am still very pleased with my decision. I am so thankful for the support of my family and my best friend. It has meant so much to me on this journey. Updated on 25 Jul 2012: So I'm 30 days out from surgery. I am feeling pretty normal.. I am working our regularly and I ran a 5k this past weekend. It was dfficult becuase you move your core a bit when you run, but each day I get better. My scars are well hidden by underwear and I am happy with my results. I still have swelling, especially after working out, but my dr said that was to be expected. I am comfortable sleeping and I have begun lifting again (light). This is one of the best things I have done for myself. I feel the same.. but I looks so much better. I am happy. Updated on 24 Aug 2012: Today is two months out. I am happy with my tummy tuck and I think it's one of the best things I have ever done for myself. My results are very good and I can look pretty good in almost any clothes I choose. I don't have to try to hid my belly anymore. I have ran 3 times since my surgery in races...two 5ks and one 10k. The first race was really hard because I think I was trying to brace my core and it hurt. I was only 3 weeks out at that time. The 10K I did last weekend at 7 weeks out and I felt no ill effects from the tuck. I am back to working out. I am 100% in cycling, 90% in weights and like 50% in core work. It's hard to work upper and lower abs and I feel stinging. I think my swelling is setting down but I am usually a bit puffier after I workout. My scars are OK.. not raised or anything and well hidden by panties. My belly button will be nice someday once the redness settles down. If you are thinking about a tummy tuck and you can have a positive attitude you will do fine.
Hello,If you are interested in treating lines around your mouth when you smile, Botox is not the appropriate product. Botox lessens wrinkles by relaxing the muscles used to create the wrinkles. You would not want to relax the muscles that allow you to move your lips. The better treatment for this area would be a dermal filler product such as Restylane or Juvederm. These products treat wrinkles by plumping them. I hope this helps you in your research, however, I would recommend that you have a consultation appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon prior to undergoing any sort of treatment. Best of luck to you.
Choosing the right surgeon can be confusing. My advice would be to start by checking the credentials of each surgeon to ensure they are board certified. You may want to view before and after photos of each surgeons work and look for prior patient testimonials. Another important aspect of finding the right surgeon is the rapport. You may want to find out who will be handling your follow up care also. In my clinic, I handle all of my own follow up care. I do not hand my patients off to a nurse after their surgical procedures. Each patient is allotted a generous amount of time for every post operative appointment. Take the staff into account as well since you will be dealing with them to coordinate appointments, surgery, payments, etc. I hope you find this information helpful and good luck with your decision.
Hi Cindy! It is not uncommon for patients to travel to the US for their cosmetic procedures and in my practice, I have frequently seen patients from other countries. Coordinating a surgery from another country involves careful planning on the part of the patient and their plastic surgeon. We typically try to coordinate the surgical procedures so that the patient has their initial consultation as soon as they arrive in town and the surgical procedure will be performed shortly thereafter. I also advise patients to remain in town for a minimum amount of time following their surgical procedure (usually 1 - 2 weeks) in order to ensure that the patient is healing properly and to minimize the chance of complications once the patient returns home. Best of luck to you!
Those are great questions. My advice to you would be to go in for a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to see which procedures he/she would recommend to correct the issues which are concerning you. From viewing your photo, you may have a slight tubular breast deformity which could be the cause of the "droopy" look you are describing. Of course, this cannot be diagnosed through a photograph and again, I would recommend that you meet with a plastic surgeon in person to confirm. If that is the case, the surgeon may recommend lifting the breasts, reducing the areola, and even tattooing the areolas to make them appear darker (if that's what you would like). The possible malposition of the breast fold (being high on the chest wall) would require unique planning to fit your individual needs.
Hello Nacole! Your question is a very common one among patients in our practice. Restoring a youthful look to the breasts may be achieved through surgical procedures such as breast lift and/or breast augmentation. In your case, there seems to be some slight breast ptosis (sagging) which may require a breast lift procedure in order to obtain your desired results. A full consultation would be required in order to determine if this is the best procedure for you. Some patients with only slight ptosis may be able to undergo only a breast augmentation surgery but that typically requires a larger implant. Again, I would advise that you seek a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon in order to find out if this could be an option in your case. Best wishes to you!
