I have a small area of fat under my chin that is genetic, no matter the fluctuation in my weight it’s always there. I decided to try Kybella injections to reduce the fat pad under my chin. On day 4 as I post this review. I wanted others to see the days after to see the swelling that occurs. I had a hard time finding days 1 and 2 after of swelling and bruising in my research prior to treatment. Updated on 11 Sep 2018: It was VERY QUICK, like a minute or less. Dr. Summer and her staff made me feel at ease because I was EXTREMELY nervous during my appointment time. I have a few big trips that were coming up and they made me aware of all the side effects and what to expect so I could make the best decision on timing for me. I sat with ice under my chin for about 10 mins and then she drew some lines and dots and we were ready to go. Like I said it was extremely quick and not very painful, injections similar to Botox or filler. There was an uncomfortable heavy hot feeling for the next ten-fifteen minutes after but really that was it. I wouldn’t even say painful, just uncomfortable. I do tend to have a high pain tolerance, but Dr.Summer was great! Pictures are immediately after treatment when I got in my car. Updated on 11 Sep 2018: Swelling was definitely in full effect. She said like a bull frog and it was! It didn’t hurt at all but it did feel weird and jiggly. Needless to say I didn’t leave the house. Updated on 11 Sep 2018: Updated on 11 Sep 2018: Swelling has gone down a good bit from directly after treatment. I still notice it but no one else seems to. Updated on 18 Sep 2018: Not quite back to baseline yet but close Updated on 10 Oct 2018: I don’t see much change, but was told it may take two treatments. At five weeks out I am still very tender to the touch under the chin. Updated on 23 Jun 2019: Not worth the money
I've had several Ultherapy procedures through Dr. Summer's office on my face, neck and decolletage. She performed the first one on me and the subsequent ones were by her aesthetician, Hannah C. Allen, whom is an Ultherapy trainer. Dr. Summers and the whole staff at Lewisville Laser & Aesthetics are always so pleasant, courteous, and professional. It's part of my regular maintenance routine now!
As my skin has thinned with age, my temple veins were much more prominent. I read about using filler in this area and talked to my doctor about it while I was in for my regular neurotoxin visit. She agreed to try it. Of course, the veins aren't gone, but they are much less noticeable. I'm very pleased with the results. The cost include two syringes and botox.
I had my Ultherapy treatment at Lewisville Laser & Aesthetics. Dr. Summer was wonderful. She answered all of my questions and walked me through this procedure. After talking with her I have a better understanding of what to expect and how it works. I had my procedure in April and I am continuously seeing changes. I have been very satisfied with my procedure and I am glad I chose this office. They have an extremely friendly staff who welcomed me in right away. I felt very comfortable and I would definitely suggest friends to check them out!
I had Thermitight performed at Lewisville Laser in November of 2016. This has to be the worse experience of my life other than loosing my husband. Large lumps have formed under my skin and have increased in number of which she has been aware of since the first week. Dr Summer advised me not to seek medical attention outside of her office as another Dr would not be familiar with this procedure and she assured me the lumps ( which are hard and painful) would subside on their own. 14 months later I am now going to see a Plastic surgeon to inquire if I need them removed. Dr. Summer never sent me for an ultrasound, she did have a compound ordered for the pain at Lewisville Pharmacy which I had to pay for to help the pain. I wouldn't send my pet to that office and do not want another person to endure what I have. My friend Carol was at the office the day of this procedure and she was with me when we asked if this was invasive and Dr. Summer replied NO, well, it is!!!! Enough said.
We also offer Pronox nitrous oxide (laughing gas) for Sculpsure. Frankly most people need it! Because Pronox is self administered and very regulated, it is quite safe and clears out of your system quickly, allowing for a brief recovery in the office, after which you'll be fine to return to work or other activities. I highly recommend seeking a practice that can offer this. Very few people do well with Sculpsure without it.
Hi Brunmum! The MRI should not create any problems with your Botox. The dye should not interact, nor should the positioning be a problem. Good luck with the MRCP, I'm hoping you feel better soon!
This area is not an area to treat with Botox, but it will respond to fillers nicely. Happily, fillers last longer than Botox in general, so do have a consultation with an experienced injector to find out what is right for you.
A consult is always the most important step in determining if Botox is the right choice for a downturned mouth. If given by an experienced injector, Botox can help to lift the corners of the mouth and improve a persistent frowning look. Sometimes additional treatment types, such as fillers, are needed in place of Botox or in addition to it in order for you to obtain your best result.
Kybella is excellent for dissolving the fat of a double chin. I can't see the video here, but if you have a twitch in your mentalis muscle that can often be managed using a bit of Botox or Dysport. You will need to seek an injector who is experienced using those products in the mentalis.
