I had 700cc high profile silicone. I'm 10 days post op. 5'2 and 120lbs. I'm worried as my boobs look far apart and low. I'm wondering will that change? I just want perky boobs with cleavage!
Answer: Cleavage and breast augmentation. Thank you for your question and for your photographs. In general in the case of submuscular augmentation. Most doctors will place the implants this close to the midline as possible. Generally , we will not violate the insertion of the pectoral muscle on the sternum. If the muscle is elevated the implants can, come too close together and cause breadloafing. Over time, the force of the muscles pushes the implants out under the arms. So when you lay back the implants tend to go to the side. Natural breasts do this as well. From your photos, with these exceptionally large implants, it looks like your surgeon did a good job of bringing them as close together as possible without giving you synmastia. Cleavage, will still require a strong and supportive push up bra with these large implants. It's important to wear a bra with the size implants because gravity will win eventually. Best wishes. Hope this makes sense.

Answer: Breasts too far apart Unfortunately I think that your implants are way too big for your frame. The sheer weight and size of the implants will continue to weigh down your breasts creating a more ptotic breast . There's no way to get perky breasts with such a large implant. More than likely you needed a much smaller implant with a mastopexy.

Answer: Too wide based on your pictures I don't think it's going to change. A high profile implant is a narrow implant , if you want more cleavage you may be better with a wider implant. I would recommend you discuss it with your surgeon best of luck

Answer: Spacing of breasts Hello, in most of the photos provided it looks like your implants are quite close together on your breasts. If they are too close together they will look like one breast, i.e. synmastia or "uniboob".

Answer: Concerns after breast augmentation surgery… Congratulations on having undergone the breast augmentation procedure. Your plastic surgeon will always be your best resource when it comes to accurate assessment, advice, and/or meaningful reassurance. Generally speaking, breast implants will "drop" into the pocket that was created during surgery. The rate of breast implant "settling" may depend on factors such as size of breast implant pocket dissected, tightness of the overlying skin/muscle layers, and size of breast implant utilized. Normally, it takes about 3-6 months (for some patients longer) to see the final result. Many of my patients report that as the swelling around the breast implants (for example, in the sternal area) decreases, they feel that their breasts appear more projecting (and that they have better "cleavage"). Also, in my opinion, the "drop and fluff” phenomenon does hold some validity; as breast implants “settle”, many patients feel that their breasts actually look larger. Similarly, it takes a few months for the breasts to "soften" in most cases. Most of my patients tell me that their breast implants feel "part of them" somewhere between 3 to 6 months after surgery was performed. There is definitely a physiologic and "psychological" (body image) adaptation process that occurs, at differing rates for every patient, for patients who undergo any type of aesthetic surgery, including breast augmentation surgery. Best wishes for an outcome that you will be very pleased with long-term.
