Op note states we shaved hump off, pulled up columella, fixed deviated septum, and did turbinate reduction. Before sx, my nose was shifted to the left, but my nostrils were perfectly proportional, even in size, and nicely shaped. Now, 4 weeks after sx, my right nostril lost its shape and is significantly smaller than the left one. It still breaths worse just like it was before surgery. My nose is more shifted to the left than it was. My dr. said right nostril is swollen and should get back to normal. Dr agreed my nose is significantly crooked and offered to break cartilage (without breaking a bone,) place it straight, and put a cast on it. Why my surgeon didn't break my bone and cartilage during surgery to place nose straight and should I let him do this second non-surgical procedure 40 days after surgery: breaking my cartilage (again, he said not bone) and casting my nose? Why only one of my nostrils (right) changed its shape and is there a chance it will be the same as before surgery? I had two straight parallel lines where my hump was shaved off after surgery. Doctor made me wear tape over my nose so tissue doesn't grow back. Tissue didn't grow back on top of the nose, but a month later a got a bulge on sides of my nose, where the hump was . Dr says it will go away. Will it?I asked dr to make the tip of my nose smaller He did nothing about it.
