Good day, I have wanted Rhinoplasty for over 5 years, that being said I want to know if it would be possible to get a more 'button nose". I know most want a pointy nose.. I like a more rounded tip. I really hate how pointy and over rotated my nose is. Do you think it would be possible to derotate the tip and bring down the height of my bridge just to match the desired tip.
Answer: Derotation of up-turned nose A closed rhinoplasty approach can accomplish shaving down the dorsal hump, decreasing the rotation of the nose, and decreasing the projection. Digital computer imaging performed on your nose with is helpful to understand what can be accomplished with the procedure based on your anatomy. For more information and many before and after examples, please see the link and the video below

Answer: Rhinoplasty to decrease nasal rotation Hi there, thank you for your photos and question. It is possible to decrease your nasal tip rotation and work towards a slightly more rounded nasal tip. Decreasing the nasal tip rotation likely will require some additional changes to your profile (like decreasing the nasal bridge to match the new nasal tip position). The photos you provided give a good direction of the changes you are looking for. I would recommend you seek consultations with rhinoplasty surgeons and perform a simulation to discuss results and expectations. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Answer: De rotation of upturned nose It is possible to lengthen a nose and to de rotate the tip. This would also de project your tip a little and so to avoid producing a convex profile you would need the bridge lowering as well. This is complex surgery and your thin skin risks showing up irregularities after bridge lowering. Make sure you consult a very experienced surgeon and be sure you know the risks as you have an attractive nose now even though it is not what you want. Good luck.

Answer: Counter-rotated nose It is possible to at least go in the directions of the photographs you provided. The limiting factor will be 'how much' you can be counter rotated. You would need to meet with a few rhinoplasty surgeons so they can perform an in person examination to determine the possible outcomes. Best of luck

Answer: Derotation of upturned nose - Plausible??? Button nose. (photos) It is possible to achieve the goals that you are seeking. However, they will necessitate other changes in your nose in order for your nasal features to blend together. Seek several consultations with experienced rhinoplasty surgeons. You should have a good understanding of expected results before having the surgery performed. Good luck.
