Thank you for your query. The discolouration may be due to thinning and stretching, an increase in size, or even friction. Please have your Plastic surgeon examine your breasts and help you with your concerns. All the best!
Hello, my name is Dr Igor Burko and I am a Plastic Surgeon at SY Aesthetics in NYC. I think it is best to see your plastic surgeon for an evaluation. It is difficult to say what the cause is solely based off of photos. You would need a full history and physical examination to determine what could be causing your skin discoloration.
If this has been present since surgery then it is likely part of scarring from the procedure. If this is a new development a visit to your surgeon is warranted for an evaluation. It could be a reaction from clothing or detergent, etc.
If this is new, please go see your medical doctor now. If this has been present since the reduction and has not changed, then it is scarring from surgery.
Skin and scar discoloration can happen after surgery. On some individuals the scar can widen over time and the scar tissue can have a different complexion than this surrounding skin.I don’t think this is inherently worrisome or dangerous in anyway.Best,Mats Hagstrom MD
We ask our patients to remove any metals during the surgery. If your toupee has plastic clips it should not be a problem. Best of luck to you
