Differences in nipple healing after anchor breast lift, 5 days post op. (photos)

Congratulations on your surgery! You seem to be healing well it is not uncommon to heal at different rates, just be patient and continue to follow up with your PS to discuss your concerns.

Although the left areola does look different at 5 days I doubt whether you will experience nipple areola necrosis. It is entirely normal to have differences at this time and it will take a number of months for everything to heal.

Thanks for the question and photo.It appears that you are healing fine and it is not abnormal to have one side healing much faster than the other.  They even out with time.Just relax and follow your surgeon's instructions.Dr  T

Thanks for the great question! You're still very early after surgery! During this time period there may be difference in the swelling and appearance of two sides. It may take 3-6 months for the breasts to heal and relax into more of their final position. If you have concerns about your surgery, it's always best to contact your surgeon directly! Best,~Dr. Sieber
