It's important to me that I have all overhanging skin removed. I had lipo of the abdomen, chest, and flanks about 20 yers ago, then gained quite a bit of weight. I've had the weight off (125 pounds) for 6 years now, and am left with a lots of skin laxity. Current weight is 174 lbs. at 5'10" tall.
Answer: Tummy tuck Either of those options are fine. If you go 270 degrees you will probably need to be turned facedown fir part of the surgery. At that point why not go all the way around.

Answer: Should a 270° tummy tuck be sufficient to remove excess skin, or am I likely to require a 360° body lift? (Photo) Congratulations on your weight loss!! Body lift surgery is one of the most common procedures used to improve the body's appearance after massive weight loss. Based on your photos, it seems like you may benefit from a liposuction, extended tummy tuck and lower body lift. Consult via email or Skype with a board certified PS who can answer your specific questions.

Answer: Should a 270° tummy tuck be sufficient to remove excess skin, or am I likely to require a 360° body lift? Hi there, thank you for your question. You are a very good candidate for tummy tuck due to the sagging on your tummy. But, it seems that there is also excess skin on your back, that's why; you might need 360 body lift. The best advice can be given after virtual consultation.

Answer: 360 body lift recommended You have excess skin that extends posteriorly. It is hard to assess how far posteriorly because the underwear is distorting the skin envelope. You would be better off with a 360 body lift as that will give you more pull and pull in the sides better. A 270 tummy tuck may be possible but I recommend the 360 body lift. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Weight loss skin excess Congratulations on your weight loss! Since the excess skin is loose, the only way to effectively make your body contour tighter is to remove this skin. The more you remove, the tighter the outcome. An extended (270) abdominoplasty would do very well since there isn’t as much loose skin in the middle of your back, but 360 bodylift would make that area tighter too. I would recommend that you do the 360 for the tightest result. Best of luck!

Answer: Considering procedures Congratulations on your impressive weight loss and for keeping it off! From your photos you should have a nice result from the extended tummy tuck. It will address the loose skin on the front and on the sides. I encourage you to visit with a few board certified plastic surgeons for consultations to discuss your concerns.
