Slight lip lift with threads

mouth is the maximum-moving area on our face so we strongly advise against PDO thread that might have potentially cause asymmetries and be a life-time disadvantage on the way your upper lip moves. without resecting skin it is highly unlikely this is going to be (let alone disadvantages) a satisfactory procedure that will make you unhappy

Lip lifts with threads do not work. A lip lift costs $3,000 and is done in the office under local anesthesia. A lip lift does 4 things: shortens the distance between the nose and upper lip, increases the mucosa of the upper lip, increases the incisor show and pulls up the corners.

Hello, hope you are well. Thank you for posting your question. It is an interesting idea, but I would not recommend this approach. PDO threads are absorbable, and in the best case scenario you can get a temporary pull on the upper lip that could create the illusion of a shorter philtrum. (In reality the soft tissue is getting bunched up and suspended, but not shortened). The only way to truly shorten the philtrum is to surgically remove a portion of it.
