Daxxify and pregnancy risk?

Thanks for your question. No botox injection has ever been shown to have any deleterious effect on the fetus of a woman who was injected- and that has happened inadvertently many many times over the decades. The doses used in particular for cosmetic results are extremely small overall, and the tiny bit of that that might wash into the general circulation would not be expected to pose any harm whatsoever. No botox brand is 'approved for use in pregnancy' specifically because pregnant women were not, and will never be, included in the studies that were done to bring it to market. I hope that helps!

Botox and other neuromodulators should not be used when pregnant or if you are planning to become pregnant. Due to a lack of studies it's not possible to say if it is "safe" since you had Daxxify and later found out you were pregnant. In the same light, there is a lack of studies saying it isn't "safe". I encourage you to discuss your concerns with your obstetrician.
