Can you help me understand why I was refused treatment for arm liposuction with cardiologist clearance?

Sometimes there are other factors that may lead a plastic surgeon to not operate even if the cardiologist says it is safe. I would discuss this with your doctor and consider alternatives as well that may be a better option for you. However I agree that arm liposuction can be done under local and is usually safe.

If your cardiologist has given you medical clearance to have general anesthesia, I am not quite sure why your surgeon has deemed you unacceptable  with regards to health for this procedure. Be certain that your cardiologist has spoken to your plastic surgeon or get a second opinion from a board-certified plastic surgeon. Best of luck.

Hey there,Considering your medical condition, you may fall under “relative contraindication” slab for liposuction. Not sure if you are on any ‘Aspirin’. Any elective surgery is performed based on risk benefit ratio. In your case benefit from liposuction is lower than your risk from surgery.

In medicine and particularly in surgery, there is the risk-benefit ratio. How much benefit would you derive for the risks involved in performing  a cosmetic operation.  Your surgeon may feel that despite your cardiology clearance, the risk is too great .   Your PS is clearly putting your safety  first.

You may want to ask specifically why you were refused treatment. I usually do arm lipo with just a local anesthetic so I'm sure it can be done for you. See link below for examples.
