All scar removal creams are a waste of your money. I would recommend your surgery be done by an experienced plastic surgeon and use silicone sheets over the incisions starting about 2 weeks postoperatively for up to 6 months, or as long as necessary until scars start to fade to a pale pink or white.
Best Scar Management is important to minimize or completely hide from view, the telltale signs of your surgery—namely, scars. Both you and your surgeon want you to have the most minimal scarring possible. There are many possible causes for scars that are enlarged or not healing well. Hello dear, thanks for your question and provided information as well... Use sterilized gauze to protect your incision of any infection or complication during healing process. Also, you have to secure the gauze with medical tape to protect it. After a month, you can start using Silicone Sheets. They’re the best to reduce the pain and itching while they smooth and flatten your scar..Then, you can use Vitamin E oils, Rose Hip and Cocoa Butter too, they can be used to promote healing and clarifying the scar tissue. This products has to be used when the scar is completely closed.
Thank you for our question. All scar removal creams are a waste of time and money. None of them do anything. For the best scars, make sure that you surgeon uses only buried sutures so you don't get any stitch marks. Don't tan you scars while they are healing. Use tape (e.g. Nexcare tape) over the incisions for three months but don't tape any area that has a scab or is draining until it heals. Leave the tape on as long as it sticks; DO NOT take it off every day as it will cause skin irritation. Taping has proven to work. It is cheap and easy. All scar creams, including vitamin E are baloney!
Unfortunately you have to start with the idea that you will never be able to completely "remove" scars. depending on your skin type they can often be very acceptable. I particularly like to use paper tape over the areas for a long time. It's inexpensive and easy to do and is as good as any of the expensive products.
Jill, Thanks for your question. When old (likely ruptured implants) are removed with their capsules, a larger space is usually created. Most surgeons will decrease the pocket size with sutures or biologic mesh during this procedure. Occasionally the pocket remains too large despite our best...
Thank you for the question and photo but ideally an examination with measurements and sizing with implants in a bra would be critically helpful. So see some experts in the area, look at photos, compare fees and find your surgeon.Dr. Corbin
The pictures you sent in to RealSelf would indicate you have either a stitch abscess (indicated by the inflammation you refer to) or a knot from a permanent suture in the perioareolar Benelli stitch.Since you have what appears to be a single scar all the way around your areola and you refer to...
