Implant pockets feel too loose. Will they eventually tighten up?

Jill, Thanks for your question. When old (likely ruptured implants) are removed with their capsules, a larger space is usually created. Most surgeons will decrease the pocket size with sutures or biologic mesh during this procedure. Occasionally the pocket remains too large despite our best efforts. This is more often the case if your new implants are smaller than the original implants. Patients will most often complain of the implants sliding to the axilla when laying down. In my experience, the pocket size will not decrease over time. I have had several patients with chronically ruptured implants with capsular contracture. They become accustomed to the very firm and immobile implants and are initially unnerved by the natural, soft and mobile new implant. Could this be what you are experiencing?Without examining you, it is hard to know exactly what is causing your problem. I would encourage you to schedule a follow up exam with you plastic surgeon. Hello dear, thanks for your question and provided information as well... You need to have an appt with your board certified plastic surgeon to check up your pockets.. You have to get there and tell your doctor what's happening and if it needs to b fixed, I'm sure it will be, do not worry, everything has a solution.
