Medical insurance whether private insurance or government based medical insurance like Medicare or Medi-Cal(in California) do not and should not pay for cosmetic surgery.
Medical insurance is a collection of money used to pay for those who are in need of medical care.
Everyone Chipsin then the people who get sick or taken care of.
Medical insurance is a pool of resources that serves those that are covered.
If medical insurance paid for cosmetic surgery then we would all be paying for it with higher premiums.
That is not the purpose of medical insurance.
There are a few procedures that can be considered as cosmetic and can potential he be covered by insurance.
One of those is the removal of excess skin on the lower abdomen similar to an abdominoplasty if the skin folds cause skin infections.
Another one is a breast reduction when certain criteria are met.
If these criteria are not meant that in a breast reduction would be considered a cosmetic procedure.
There are no criteria for justifying a Brazilian butt lift as an insurance based procedure
