Am I a good candidate for Renuvion with Lipo?

I really don't want a tummy tuck. I am 31 and still wear bath suits that won't cover a tummy tuck scar. I'm open to a mini tuck but would really prefer Liposuction with Renuvion skin tightening. Would I be a good candidate for this service? I have a breast lift and Liposuction consult coming up soon but would love to get more opinions.

You need a formal evaluation by an expert in body shaping and contouring to determine what is best. The best in body contouring not only removes fat with energy devices like VASER ultrasound but also internally heats the skin with radiofrequency devices such as Renuvion (J-Plasma), InMode BodyTite, and ThermiRF to heat the undersurface of the skin and tighten it at the same time as fat removal. These combinations are called 4D HI-DEF VASER Liposuction and can only be done by a well-trained body contouring specialist. it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photos, it looks like you might get liposuction but you might have some loose skin. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

I would begin with your breasts using The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. This technique pulls up the upper abdominal skin and may minimize the need for Renuvion. Liposuction can be done and possibly a mini tummy tuck.

Yes, you appear to have good quality skin to for treatment by liposuction and Renuvion. Tummy tuck scars can be hidden with even with the smallest bathing suits. If you are concerned, bring in a suit to your consult to go over scar placement.

Though I am not a fan nor user of Renuvion/J-Plasma technology, you might be a candidate since you will obtain minor skin tightening only. If you expect board tight abdominal skin it will NOT happen without a full TT. Best to seek a few consultations in person or virtually.

Procedure decisions should be based on what the underlying ideology or problem is.

Liposuction only removes subcutaneous fat and if that is the problem then Liposuction is the solution.

Personally I have very little faith in Renuvion.

I purchased the device soon after it was released and used it for about a year. I literally saw zero skin tightening and neither did any of the patients I used the device on.

The only impact I saw from using this unfortunate current cosmetic surgery development is increased pain during and after the procedure.

Personally I believe it’s a sham procedure that delivers nothing that cannot be explained simply by Liposuction alone.

I wish my experience was otherwise because I spent well over $100,000 on the device and took a big loss when I sold it on eBay.

It’s a free world but from my personal first-hand experience the device does not deliver skin tightening.

In regards to the Abdurrhman there are four variables that contribute to shape and contour. In order these are skin laxity, excess subcutaneous fat, muscle separation from previous pregnancies called a diastasis recti and lastly excess intra-abdominal or visceral fat.

Based on your picture my best guess is you have a mild amount of each four of these.

Based on your picture alone it does not look like subtitaneous fat is a significant issue and if anything your fat layer looks relatively thin.

You can assess your subcutaneous fat layer by gently pulling your skin tight and taking one finger and gently pressing against the skin until you feel the underlying muscle wall.

You can expect half of that to be removed with Liposuction.

Considering pregnancy related changes i.e. skin laxity and muscle separation not being treated by liposuction the best results typically for liposuction are on the back side.

Tummy tuck scars can be set very low including too low.  it should be possible to set the scar low enough that just about any swimsuit should be able to cover it. The scar around the bellybutton is another topic and often belly buttons look unnatural as an outcome of a full tummy tuck.

A mini tummy tuck typically does not include muscle tightening and has no impact above the belly button unless someone frees the belly button completely called a floating belly button which in my opinion is not an ideal procedure.

In reality most patients are not good candidates for a mini tummy tuck. Patients typically either don’t need a tummy tuck or if they have pregnancy related changes they need a full tummy tuck.

Nobody wants to have a tummy tuck but some patients need them. In the end decision should be based on what you’re trying to achieve in relationship to what you’re willing to go through.

Do not however expect Liposuction to give you a tummy tuck results. I’ve already shared my personal view on  renuvion or J plasma.

From your pictures your breasts appeared to be hanging off your implants so a lift seems like an appropriate procedure.

Plastic surgeons ability to deliver consistent high-quality Liposuction results vary substantially among different providers despite having similar academic qualifications.

Delivering consistent high-quality Liposuction results is more difficult than most people believe.

It’s also important to recognize who is a good candidate for Liposuction and who is not. I typically describe the ideal Liposuction candidate as young women who have not had children who are described by the triad “young tight and pudgy”.

The opposite is also true. Other patients, patients with significant skin laxity and those who don’t have much fat to remove it should not expect great results from the procedure.

I recommend all patients have multiple in person consultations and stay local for all surgical procedures whenever possible.
