it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Liposuction will remove fat cells and the remaining can grow in size but they will not grow that much in order to create lumps. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

Liposuction only removes a specific area of fat cells, but other do remain. should you gain weight, you may still find less fat in the area treated. Your other fat cells will still do what they have always done. They do not go crazy and expand in some weird way.

You are correct. Post liposuction, the fat cells are greatly reduced in the treated areas so further weight gain may go to areas outside the surgical field. The anterior abdomen may get lumpy post weight gain especially when the surgeon is aggressive and leaves little fat. Other areas do not respond with lumpiness.

Liposuction permanently removed fat cells. This does not cause remaining fat cells to change unless someone gains weight. It’s not unusual for people to come back after liposuction weighing exactly the same amount as they did before the procedure which means they technically gained weight since fat was removed during the procedure.

For example, if 8 pounds of fat is removed in a 4 L liposuction procedure patients should come back weigh 8 pounds less than they did before the procedure.

If they didn’t then they technically gained weight since fat was removed during the procedure and the remaining fat cells will be larger.

High-volume liposuction does seem to stimulate the brain to gain weight and this is seen fairly frequently.

As long as you keep the weight off there will be no change in your Liposuction results.

The biggest variable that keeps people from getting optimal Liposuction results is skin laxity.

Results also vary substantially based on who does the procedure. Liposuction is extremely operator dependent. Delivering consistent high-quality Liposuction results is more difficult than most people believe.

You are right. After liposuction the fat cells that were removed are gone and any increase in body fat will cause the remaining fat cells to increase in size. Those remaining are not only in the area liposuctioned but in the entire body. Therefore, This is cosmetically noticeable only if you gain a significant amount of weight and only because of the general weight gain. As far as the liposuctions areas, they may not gain as much in proportion to the other areas since they have a lower percentage of fat cells than before.
