I had rhinoplasty surgery performed in Thailand in April of 2014 and I had a l shaped silicone implant put in. I hate the way it looks and I want it removed in June. I would like to know the cost and how the procedure is performed

Silicone nose implants can often be removed through a short procedure under local or general anesthesia as an office or outpatient procedure. All of these variables will influence the overall costs. Depending on the choice of anesthesia and facility this could range from $2,000 to $3,500 (including every cost). You need to consider the consequence of removal of the implant, the reason for the initial augmentation and the flatness of the nose that may result from the removal of the implant and whether you would want to undergo a rhinoplasty immediately or long after removal of the implant.

Silicone Implants can easily removed with local anesthetic.   The procedure typically ia done in the clinic setting and costs 1500 dollars.   Reconstructive rhinoplasty can be done at a later date if desired with rib grafting techniques.

Hello, the implant can be removed from in incision inside the nose.  For any procedured I recommend doing this in a monitored setting.  there would be a 30 minute anesthesia fee for the anesthesiologist and a procedure fee for  the surgeon.  Depending on the locale (NYC vs Detroit) the cost would probably be anywhere from 2000-3000 total.  That is an estimate however.

The implant could be removed for $1000-2500 in the office. Silastic implants are very easy to remove once they're located inside the nose. The question that needs to be answered is how your nose will look after removal of the implant. This would require looking over your surgery notes and talking with you about your goals. I certainly wouldn't want to remove the implant and leave you with a new issue that wasn't there before. The best place to start would be to consult with a rhinoplasty expert in your area and try to bring operative notes with you for more specific advice.
