Hi I'm an 18 yr. old female. My chin seems to protrude out and downward when smiling, which has made me avoid pictures. Looking to get this fixed before college.

It is a dangerous decision performing at the same time orthognatic + osseious genioplasty, not reckless or contraindicated but carries the risk of falling into under or over correction, makes extremely difficult the calculations for the chin, or just surgeon's fatigue brings a poor technique...

You would have to provide current pictures from different angles to best answer your question. But I doubt that a maxillary impaction and a chin procedure alone would produce a square jaw look. This excludes the back part of the jaw which often is the key element in making a square jaw look.
