Back in August this year I’ve done my zygoma reduction. The most important factor is that my facial structure has been changed dramatically and now 3 months postop I think I finally started to look childish. The only thing I don’t really like for now is that my cheeks are a bit chubby, perhaps it’s because of swelling. Dr.’s assistant keeps telling me to be patient and wait a nit longer. Another thing that bothers me a lot now is sagging. I’ve heard that once swelling completely went away, skin in most cases began to sag. That really scares me a lot. I don’t really think that I’m a good candidate for a facelift as I’m only in my 30s. I’ve been looking in to getting a plastic surgery in Korea for few years and now afraid to be disappointed even though, now my results all 100 satisfy me. I also got endotine forehead lift to get rid of sagging skin on my upper eyelids. I didn’t really want to change the size of my crease, so upper blepharoplasty wasn’t a solution for me and I also didn’t want to decrease the distance between my eyes and brows, that’s why I didn’t proceed subbrow blepharo. So far, the result looks amazing! Updated on 15 Jan 2020: I totally forgot to mention in my previous post that I also got rhinoplasty revision at Banobagi as well, on my after pics you can see that nose looks way more beautiful! As for skin laxity, hopefully I don’t experience any even after 5 months when swelling totally gone and my results are somewhat finalized. I’m beyond satisfied how my surgeries came out. Any surgery has risks, that’s why it’s very important to minimize them by choosing the right doctor. I feel very lucky that went to Dr. Oh. Brilliant doctor with huge experience, very kind and extremely skilled. P.s. For my zygoma reduction I paid $6,500 usd. Thanks for reading my reviews!
Hey everyone, exactly 3 months ago on July 22 I got facial contouring done with few other surgeries at Banobagi. My surgeon for bone shaving was doc Oh Changhyun. I was searching quite a while before choosing him but was lucky enough to make the right decision. Everything was under general anesthesia. I wanted to proceed my operations in the morning, but unfortunately everything was booked and I didn’t want to wait few more days, so my surgery started at around 4pm and finished by almost 8pm. Operation Day. Waking up from anesthesia was extremely difficult. A nurse kept asking to open my eyes and it was so difficult. My mind was clear enough to understand what happened and where was I. When I fully woke up from anesthesia few nurses helped me to get of from the operation table to the wheelchair and brought me to my recovery room. I was very thirsty as my last meal and drink were almost 12 hrs ago, but I was told that had to wait another 4 hrs (ugh, that was the most difficult). Hospitalization. At around 12am a nurse brought me some warm water, although it was quite difficult to swallow, my throat was swollen and sore, I tried to drink it all in order to prevent dehydration. They also offered me to drink some soup or pumpkin juice, but to my surprise, I wasn’t hungry and frankly speaking can’t stand pumpkin! At around 1am I could go to the restroom myself, when I felt a bit more pain, I called for a nurse to give me more painkillers. I was told that can’t get more than once in 4 hrs, so most of the time I tried to endure. Also, it was quite difficult to breath as swelling went up and my nose was blocked. I stayed there for 2 nights an on the day of discharge doc Oh came to check up on me. My rehab was on track, so I was set free to go. Initial Recovery. It was brutal. Swelling became even worse, I couldn’t open my mouth (had to rinse it at least 10 times a day, to keep it clean), ate only chicken soup (was told to eat only water-like liquids with no crumbs). Drains were removed on day 7 and stitches as well as final check up was 2 weeks after the operation. Swelling started to go down after about 3 weeks or so. I was told to apply cold patch in the morning for anti-swelling and warm at night for bruising, hopefully I had nose, so got only cold ones. My Diet. For around 2 weeks I ate only water-like food, once all stitches were removed, I could switch to blended and very soft foods. After about 5 weeks I started to exercise my mouth and by now I can fully open it. I’m still trying not to eat to solid food like nuts or opening my mouth too wide as for burgers or apple, but so far, can eat almost everything I want. Result. I was told that my bones will be totally healed in 1 year and that final results I can see only after 6-8 months. It’s been only 3 months, so I hope the result will get better soon. Updated on 19 Dec 2019: I can’t say that my results are final, but so far I’m quite satisfied. I’m no longer swollen and not can eat everything, including nuts and open my mouth wide enough for burgers and apple. Btw, I left Korea after 3 weeks. It’s already 5 months after the surgery and I can’t feel happier for the result. As for the outcome, I think I became a bit more confident. My friends noticed that I’m taking lot of pics lately, never liked to do it. But I think the most important thing for me is that I feel incredibly comfortable with my new face.
Hi everyone! I guess this review is gonna be a place where I’ll get off something heavy from my shoulders. Although it wasn’t actually my first experience with a plastic surgery (I got augmentation rhino earlier, I can’t say that it was successful, neither can’t say the result was botched anyway, I fixed it as well but it’s gonna be a totally different story) but this time everything was so different, that I could actually feel how a real group of professionals should work. The team that worked with me, were very experienced and skilled which I didn’t feel when got my first rhino. I underwent several procedures but want to focus this review on my cheekbone reduction as it was the main issue for me. I’m quite an introvert, my circle of friends is very limited consisted from only those who really support me in achieving and being who I want to be. My re-born date is October 2019 and re-creators of my beauty are the most talented surgeons from Banobagi hospital. For those who’s planning to proceed any facial bone cutting surgery, remember no matter how long or hard you prepare yourself for a surgery, believe me, the recovery is gonna be way more brutal! But even though, I’m still quite in suffer, I don’t regret about proceeded surgeries. I think the discomfort I’m experiencing now is only temporary and do hope that the result would truly worth it. My chin and some part of lower jaw are a bit numb but from what I know it’s totally fine after surgeries I got. I’m not taking any pics these days as I’m too swollen but I’ll upload some of my before and will try to upload my after as soon as swelling does down. Good luck everyone and please pray for my fast recovery :) Updated on 7 Nov 2019: So, Hello again everyone! It’s been an entire month already! I’m still quite swollen and don’t really wanna post so ugly pics here lol, so… sorry for writing an update without pics. I used to experience some chewing problems when wrote my first review due to numb lower jaw and chin, hopefully now I fell way better. Although, there is still a little numbness in my chin, lower jaw feels great. I’m not sure about the result yet and don’t really wanna do any hasty conclusions but so far I like how everything looks. I still look like a hamster but I even find it kinda cute lol. Since, I wanted to focus more on my cheeks in this review, I can’t say anything certain for now, as swelling hasn’t gone away yet, so will definitely update on it once I get better. Updated on 9 Feb 2020: Hello everyone! Just as I wanted! Everything looks so great! My facial lines became more defined and smoother. Most importantly, my cheekbone doesn’t look too wide any longer, now it’s very balanced with rest of my facial features, which was the most important part for me. As promised, uploading some of my after pics here. I feel so happy now. It totally worth it! Swelling started to go down after about 6 weeks. As for numbness in my chin it faded away little by little and by now it’s totally gone. Although, I’m still trying to take a double care of my bone as still kinda recovering, I do feel great!
I had a mandibular reduction surgery with chin and cheekbone cutting in late July this year. It was very complicated and highly invasive operation. My lower jaws were noticeably reduced and chin became much smaller. Also, my midface was quite prolonged, so dr. Oh fixed it as well. I was said it’d probably take me up to 8-10 months to completely recover. I’m now still quite swollen as it’s been only 2 months. All incisions were made inside my mouth so no scars of proceeded surgeries on my face. The main purpose was to make my face look smaller and more balanced with a bit softer look. Currently, there are few issues that bother me a lot. First, is skin sagging since lot of bone was removed. Most probably I’d need threadlift. The second is my numb chin and palate and that I still can’t fully open my mouth and normally chew food. From what I’ve heard those are quite normal side effects which are supposed to be gone within few months. I do hope it’ll improve very soon. Overall, the result even with swelling already looks quite good. My face is noticeably reduced and I hope it’ll meet my expectations. Updated on 27 Nov 2019: I’m 4 months postop now and feel great. After about 2 weeks from my last review my palate started tingling and by month 3 both my chin and palate were completely back to normal. Although I still can’t fully open my mouth but so far chewing improved, now I can finally eat meat and most of normal food. Swelling gradually went down and now I have it only in the morning. I do have a little sagging as it’s impossible not to have at least some after reducing so much of bone. Hopefully it’s not too bad. Maybe I’ll get threadlift in few months. It has taken me few weeks to start feel normal again but the result worth it and definitely exceeded all my expectations. I’m beyond satisfied and very happy. The main reason me writing a review here is to inspire people who has same issues and to thank my surgeon dr. Oh.I researched and read every review possible before choosing him. His staff was very friendly and attentive. The after care, follow up and pretty much everything was very professional.
If you are looking for a plastic surgeon in korea, banonagi is the best place I’ve ever been in so far. I think doc Oh is the best for any facial contouring operation. I got my v-line surgery done on august 23 this year. I wanted my face to have a bit sharper lines and become more symmetrical, so doc Oh cut a bit of my angular jaw with chin. I’m currently still quite swollen but hope he didn’t cut too much as I want look natural. At first I contacted banobagi by email for an advice regarding my jaws as I thought they were too squared, later I found out about v-line procedure and decided that it should definitely fix my asymmetry. So, I paid around $19k for my surgery. Day 1-3 right after the surgery were the worst. I did feel slight pain, tension, pressure, got lot of bruising and swelling. I couldn’t eat pretty much anything and tried not to drink to much water, because I thought that it would cause even worse swelling but later the assistant said that water actually helps as it fasters metabolism. Only by week 2 I started eating normal and yet very soft food like boiled eggs, bananas, cakes. By now, I can eat pretty much everything but still avoid very solid foods and cut into several pieces instead of biting. I was told that it would probably take me up to a year to fully recover, hope it would reach me earlier as I can’t wait to see my results. Updated on 25 Nov 2019: For the past 2 months there were lot of changes. I uploaded few photos of how I look now and as you can see I also decided to change my hairstyle. I’ve been searching and thinking about surgeon for more than a year and so far I think I couldn’t have made a better choice that decide to go with doc Oh from banobagi. Looking back at the whole process I think it definitely worth it. I haven’t reached my complete recovery yet but feel great. I’m quite glad with my results. I’m now swollen mostly in the morning, don’t feel any pain or discomfort, experience no side effect and can eat whatever I want. I’m very happy with the outcome and I do feel more confident now.
first of all, I’d want to thank real self for helping people like me. I found really useful information here that aided me when I was searching for a good plastic surgery as well as plastic surgeon. and I do hope that my post would help at least someone. so, starting my story I’d want to begin with the plastic surgery I went to. the name was banobagi plastic surgery. it’s in seoul, south korea. my surgeon’s name was dr. Oh, he is one of the best plastic maxillofacial surgeons in seoul, board certified with lot of awards, years of practice and huge experience. well, my surgery was relatively recently, on august 22 and today it’s only a week after. I can’t say much about the result for now, obviously, maybe I’ll share with it a bit later. today I just wanted to write what was my surgery about. I underwent v-line with zygoma reduction (or simply a cheekbone reduction). since my bone was cut from chin, jaws and cheeks I expected to experience at least some pain but nah-ah! and I’m actually happy for that but it doesn’t mean that recovery is very smooth and easy! not at all! my face is very-very swollen! very! and sometimes I think that it’d tear up into many-many pieces, like honestly! but it’s totally fine, maybe I’m a bit overreacting as this is my first surgery experience ever so, I also can’t speak which is a huge advantage for my bf who came to support me, as I’m quite a talkative girl lol. I’m going to stay here another two weeks as want to remove all stitched here and complete my post-op treatments. will try to keep my post updated, cheers! Updated on 21 Nov 2019: I wanted to make this post special, so today is exactly 3 months from my operation! I feel so great! I really like my result. I think it turned out quite beautiful and natural at the same time. I wanted to warn you about some side effects. I did experience some. my chin was numb for few weeks and even though, I was told about it during my consultation, I worried about it a lot! but now everything is totally fine, thanks god! I think that swelling didn’t go down completely but I think now my face looks way better and I’m ready to wait for another 3 months to see my final results that would stay with forever. oh and btw, the price I paid was $14,700 with 20% discount. when I contacted other plastic surgeries before coming to seoul some of them didn’t provide vat return but banobagi did which was also a very pleasant bonus as I could buy more cosmetics at duty free lol. well, I’m happy and as I said earlier, hope someone could find my post helpful :) Updated on 21 Nov 2019: sorry guys, failed to upload the with an update and rs requires 200 characters to make them be posted, so blablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablabla
I just wanted to express my gratitude to the amazing plastic surgeon who made me gorgeous, confident woman. Frankly speaking, I didn’t believe that any bone shaving surgery can make someone look younger when read all those reviews. When I proceeded my operations, the main reason wasn’t in a desire to be prettier, I just wanted to get rid of my facial asymmetry but the result definitely exceeded all my expectations! I won’t hide, I worked a lot to lose weight as well, perhaps it also contributed to such a brilliant outcome and yet I think main credits should go to my surgeon – wonderful Doctor Oh. Ever since I proceeded my operations, my life changed a lot. It was a huge step in my life and I went through everything knowing that the result would definitely worth it. I think most importantly is that I changed a perception of myself in the first place. When I look in the mirror now I see beautiful woman which gives even more self-esteem. I was very closed person before, with only few friends. Now I go out more often, meet new people, attract men attention and catch their looks. Without Doctor Oh I couldn’t become who I’m now and I like new me.
I proceeded Facial contouring in May this year and it’s been already 3 months! What to/not to do before the surgery? 1. Deep and detailed research. You should contact as many hospitals and get as many recommendations from specialists as it’s even possible as everyone has his own perception of beauty and your target here is to find the one that thinks in the same direction with you! 2. Don’t hesitate to contact people who already got surgery. I’ve been chatting with so many people from so many countries and could realize that the best way to receive legit and honest reviews is to communicate with real patients. I’m talking here about both satisfied and not, as you can understand more pros and cons on one or another surgeon. 3. Agents are good but you can also plan your entire trip yourself. It took me around 3 months to find a surgeon, book hotel, buy tickets and find out general things about how to live as a foreigner in Seoul. The most difficult part for me was food. Since after the surgery I had to eat only soft/soups (most soups there were quite spicy for me) I almost always ate only at 1 restaurant but if you are ok with rice porridge (there are tons of different kinds, I don’t personally like rice) you’ll probably face no problems. 4. Another tip was advised by one girl from forum, try to decrease the amount of salt and sugar at least a month before as it helps to have less swelling. I’m not sure though about if it really workable but I wasn’t that swollen so far. What would the recovery be like? 1. Get ready that the first few days or even a week are gonna be brutal. Although, pain was minimal for me discomfort was something that required lot of time to get accustomed to. 2. My swelling decreased a bit by week 1 but after stitches removal on week 2 it became even worse. But that was the last “peak” and ever since it became only better and better. 3. Eating was my issue no 1 but I found a solution. Since I’m not rice-tofu-eggs eater and really like sweets I drank a lot of smoothies. They also contribute to getting rid of swelling faster, because they are cold. So, for my current situation I still can’t fully open my mouth or eat something solid. As for my result I’m not 100 sure that I’m satisfied. Although, swelling wasn’t wild from cheeks it doesn’t go away fast enough. Plus my chin is a bit numb. I know it’s kind of normal but still it bothers me. I’ll upload some of my pics before and my current result as well. Updated on 6 Nov 2019: I think time flies really fast. I recently got lips fillers to make them look a little juicier. Swelling from cheeks is all gone. Forgot to mention, I also got rhinoplasty and really like how my nose came out. By about month 4 my mouth opened a bit wider and now I think it’s fully back to normal. I eat normal food from maybe last month, yesterday tried to bite an apple without cutting it and feel great. The comparison between before and after on pics is amazing! Although, I don’t look totally different but for sure way more beautiful. Very thankful to my surgeon!
So I’ve done zygoma reduction surgery with genioplasty at banobagi a year ago. I healed pretty fast, with almost no bruising but swollen enough. The reason to proceed my surgery was facial asymmetry as my left and right sides were different which put me in a lot of discomfort every time I took pics as on pics it was even more obvious. My main advice for those who’s gonna proceed any bone shaving operation is to massage your face after and put as many and as often ice or cold packs as you can that helped me a lot to get rid of swelling much faster. Pain was minimal I got only inside of my mouth because of incisions but it was totally gone by day 5 or so. Because of the tape on my chin swelling brought me lot of discomfort and I felt like my face was about to burst and once I removed it I felt a bit better. Another good advice is to walk everyday at least 30 mins that helps to blood circulation with also contribute to faster recovery. On week 2 stitches were removed and felt good enough for my everyday life not all 100 tho. For about 2 weeks I rinsed my mouth every time I ate. The first 1 month I was able to eat only soft foods like eggs, porridge, tofu etc. After week 6 I increased my walking outside time to at least an hour a day. By month 3 I could eat pretty much everything, felt way better and experienced less discomfort in my daily life. My full recovery reached me by month 5 the time when I could normally open my mouth and eat whatever I wanted. The most satisfying thing is my natural result. I doing great, don’t experience any discomfort or side effects. Totally satisfied.
For quite a long time I wanted to proceed v line surgery as I had quite masculine face which made me look a bit older than my actual age and in overall I wanted to make my facial features a bit smaller and elegant. I’ve been contacting lot of clinics for almost a year while was doing my research. Since I’m not from Korea and didn’t actually plan to go there just for consultations my only way to communicate with them was email and whatsapp. That was kind of stressful for me to find a good surgeon and place but I was lucky enough to find out about banobagi and dr.Oh. So in may I went to seoul to meet him and my surgery was few days after. Today it’s been 2 months already. I can’t say that I’m healed all 100 yet I feel quite good. I was very swollen few weeks right after the operation but by now it’s almost gone. There are some side effects that everyone can experience like sagging hope I won’t have it. Although my chin is still a bit numb but I feel some tingling from time to time and from what I know it indicates that recovery is on track. I currently can eat only very soft to medium hard food like mango, porridge, tofu, boiled sausages etc. Updated on 6 Oct 2019: I’m back again. Last week it was 5 months already. I just wanted to update my feelings about the surgery. I feel no numbness in my chin any longer and swelling is completely gone. I’m not sure tho that result is final as dr.Oh said it’d take up to a year but so far I’m pretty much satisfied. I can now eat everything and even fully open my mouth for a burger bite. On my most recent pics you can see that cheekbone has been reduced a lot. My honest opinion on banobagi and dr.Oh is that they are very professional, experienced and overall amazing. And I hope that you’ll get as great experience with korean plastic surgery as I did and get a result you dream about.
Your chin with about 4mm implant wouldn’t give you big difference on the full face not much as on profile, since its width or length of implant is not that long. I think an implant with 4mm height which isn’t wide or long at the base would go well with you. Thank you.
There would be no disturbance even if you go to work. Just a little of pain and swelling may exist. Thank you.
Firstly, please understand if my answer is uncertain because I don’t know well about the image of Somalian women. It would have been better if you also attached your profile photos. Just with full-face photo, I recommend you ptosis correction to improve blepharoptosis, narrower and sharper tip of the nose, slimmer lips, and an improvement for protruded mouth by orthodontics or surgery. These would help you get a feminine image. Thank you.
There is no other way except injecting botox on masseter to decrease the volume before sculptra wears off. You’d better progress other surgery or treatment after the effect of sculptra is fully gone. I advise you to be more confident of yourself. You’re already attractive enough.
Big or well-developed chin is generally thought to be masculine or strong. Adjusting the length of chin and making it slimmer would be helpful to get more feminine image. Thank you.
