Is it normal for your treatment area to be jiggly after Smart Lipo?

I'm 4 days post smart lipo. I had smart lipo on my upper,lower abs, and waist. I'm still very swollen and I understand that. But what scares me is that all my areas of treatment are just as "jiggly" as before Lipo. I'm doing everything my surgeon told me to do. I'm active, keep hydrated, take arnica you name it. All the reviews I've read everyone says that their are of treatment was hard after Smart lipo. The whole purpose of me doing smart lipo was did it to contour my abs and waist. Did I waste my time?

Results take months to see/appreciate, especially if you did not have a hi definition procedure. I suggest you see an expert and follow your post operative protocol which should include massage and RF treatments at this time. Best, Dr. Emer

SmartLipo is recognized as a figure
correction procedure that removes fat cells and restores skin elasticity. The procedure
promotes collagen creation, soothing and tightening the skin, making it appear
younger. However, healing can be different for different patients.  The first post-surgery effect is numbness
which lasts a few days after the procedure. 
Swelling, which follows, should go away in no more than one week.  Within 3 months of the procedure your skin
should be back to normal. With your
surgery just under a week ago, it is far to be concerned about the jiggle
texture.  You need to give yourself a bit
more time to determine if the procedure worked. 
It is important to follow your doctor’s after care instructions.  Keep on using the compression garment to
reduce swelling.  Some patients
experience minor swelling and bruising. Asymmetrical or lopsided results and
minor scarring can be long-term risks involved with SmartLipo or any
liposuction or surgical procedure.  Choosing
an experienced and reputable doctor can greatly decrease the possibility of any
side effects and can lead to better results.

i tell my patients that it can take 2 weeks to 2 months to start to see a difference and that they will continue to improve for 6 months.Be much more patient and you should be pleased.hang in there.david berman md
