The incisions could easily become infected with bacteria in the water and if an infection were to spread into the subcutaneous tissues, the result could be very serious. Chlorine or other standard swimming pool treatments are not a guarantee that the water is free of potential pathogens.

I would not recommend going into the pool. You should wait at least 4-6 weeks
to avoid getting your incisions infected. Please consult with your doctor.
