How long will it take for my pillow face/chipmunk cheeks to resolve? It's a result of under eye/cheek filler for eye bags.

Without photos and information regarding product used and amount, there is really no way to give you feedback.  If this is the 3rd time that this is happened, I would suggest meeting with another injector who has a little more experience with facial injectables.  If it helps, most of my patients experience brief swelling but nothing this persistent.  Thanks for posting.  I hope this information was helpful.-gregory a buford md facsboard certified plastic surgeon and author

It's hard to say without seeing a picture.  If the swelling persists, I would recommend that you see another provider to get another opinion.  If the filler consists of hyaluronic acid, it could be dissolved if needed.  I usually use a cannula for upper face injections to minimize the risk of bruising.  Make sure that you are seeing an experienced physician injector, preferably in one of the core cosmetic specialties such as dermatology or plastic surgery.RegardsDr. Ort

Swelling usually resolves within 2 weeks. I would recommend making an appointment to see your injector (if you are comfortable with them at this point, or seek another provider) to be assessed. Depending on what type of filler you used, you may be able to have it dissolved.
