Is it an infection? White spots in my nose 1.5 weeks after Rhinoplasty. (photos)

Question

I have been picking at my nose a lot because the stiches are very uncomfortable and I'm worried that picking at my stiches caused me to get an infection because I now have this white bumps on the inside of my nose they almost look like the white things you can get the in the back of your throat that smell. The white spots on my nose are not able to come off and aren't hard at the touch

Thank you for providing images, getting that angle can be extremely tough! While some crusting is to be expected where the sutures are, most rhinoplasty surgeons like to use dissolving stitches where you have those crusts and they can certainly react differently in different patients.  Things that you need to look for in infection are swelling (it will be evident both inside and outside of your nose), discharge, as well as tenderness.  The most important part of the story that you mentioned is "picking at the stiches".  You have to be very careful! Make sure to contact your surgeon and ask their preferred method of wound care for their intranasal incisions.  This is probably the most important thing to do at this point, as we certainly would want you to get back on the right track for healing and a quick recovery.
