Two applicators is the standard for treating the arms on most people, though one applicator is a possibility if you are very petite. You are also likely to get a more even result with two applicators. Best of luck to you!
The size of an area to be treated with CoolSculpting can vary by patient. There are also different sized applicators that can be used on the arms. If using the petite applicator, which is smaller, it is possible that 2 applicators would be needed per side. If using the CoolAdvantage applicator, I think it would be unusual to need 2 applicators to treat one arm.
Hello there ckaluczk. It is really difficult to say for sure what your arms would require in terms of Coolsculpting treatments without a photo. Having said that, at Monroe Comprehensive Laser Center in Monroe, Mi, most of our arm treatments use a single applicator in a treatment session. If the patients arm is sizeable enough to require more than one applicator at a time, we might steer that patient toward a different treatment. Here is some more information on Coolsculpting.
Dear ckaluczk,Each arm may have one or two applicators depending on need. More applicators are used if more fat to reduce.- Dr. Edward Tangchitnob
Hi and thank you for your question! We have seen AMAZING results in treating the arms with coolsculpting! We assess each patient to decide how many cycles per arm, ideally its assessed in person, so we can palpate the tissue to evaluate where the subcutaneous tissue is concentrated, and also use the template for sizing to finalize treatment plan. Sometimes with photos we can give you an idea of what treatment plan will likely be. We usually recommend at least two treatment sessions, but some patients may want to consider a 3rd. Ideally about 6-8 weeks in between treatments, but it can safely be retreated in 4 weeks. Last bit of important info, we have seen (and studies have shown) that when patients use a body treatment from Alastin Skincare called Transform Body Cream, in between treatments, starting right after the first session and possibly even better to start a week or two before, they are seeing accelerated and enhanced results, as well as improvements in texture, skin laxity and crepiness! I without a doubt encourage patients to use this product, especially in an area such as the arms, where skin tightening could be of extra benefit! Best of Luck! Dr. Grant Stevens
Please provide photos of your arms so we can provide you with an accurate recommendation. Generally speaking, the amount of Coolsculpting applicators required depends on the size of the area and amount of subcutaneous fat present (pinchable fat). Best of luck from Los Angeles.
Thank you for your question. The amount of applicators needed for a treatment area varies from patient to patient including the arms. In our practice, we recommend 2 applicators per arm to maximize the efficacy of the treatment.

Hello and thank you for your question. It is hard to say without photos. It depends on the shape and size of your arm and how the applicator fits onto it. Hope that helps!Holly, RN
absolutely impossible to say without a picture to look at. Fat removal with cool sculpting is strictly in the area where the applicator rests or is applied . If there is fat excess outside of the applicators attachment area then that fat will persist. It totally needs to have an applicator matching the area of fat excess. Then the next question is how much fat is in the appropriate area being treated. A lot of fat will mean that the second treatment might be necessary just because of the volume of fat present and have nothing to do with the area of fat present. So, at least to things to consider. The area of fat and also the amount of fat.
